I just left a piece of my heart behind at Champlain Campground. It is by far the most beautiful campground we have ever stayed at. Hosts Emma and JC are so gracious and welcoming. While we love children, keeping it adult only makes it so peaceful and quiet. We were blown away by a well kept, grassy site right on the lake, with the luxu... more
I just left a piece of my heart behind at Champlain Campground. It is by far the most beautiful campground we have ever stayed at. Hosts Emma and JC are so gracious and welcoming. While we love children, keeping it adult only makes it so peaceful and quiet. We were blown away by a well kept, grassy site right on the lake, with the luxury of full hook up. The islanders are warm and welcoming. This will become an annual (if not more often) trip for us. Thank you Emma and JC!

I just left a piece of my heart behind at Champlain Campground. It is by far the most beautiful campground we have ever stayed at. Hosts Emma and JC are so gracious and welcoming. While we love children, keeping it adult only makes it so peaceful and quiet. We were blown away by a well kept, grassy site right on the lake, with the luxury of full hook up. The islanders are warm and welcoming. This will become an annual (if not more often) trip for us. Thank you Emma and JC!

Where do I begin, the name says it all. It is child-free which means it is super quiet and so relaxed. We spent about 11 days in absolute paradise at this campground. All of the sites are charming in their own right and the access to the lake is wonderful, providing a truly stunning view and wonderful place to cool off. The owners take... more
Where do I begin, the name says it all. It is child-free which means it is super quiet and so relaxed. We spent about 11 days in absolute paradise at this campground. All of the sites are charming in their own right and the access to the lake is wonderful, providing a truly stunning view and wonderful place to cool off. The owners take great pride in the property that they have curated, and it is evident in every inch of the campsite. The facilities are cleaned daily, firewood is available, and the owners are a wealth of local knowledge and insight. this is by far the best campsite we have ever stayed at, the tone set by the owners really does attract a certain level of campers that are respectful and pleasant, there was no loud music, late nights or bright lights blazing through the night. This is an absolutely perfect place to decompress and enjoy the scenery. We cannot wait to come back

We loved our stay. Hosts were organized and friendly. Campground is well maintained and peaceful. You need to call for a reservation and they take cash or checks. We loved our stay. Hosts were organized and friendly. Campground is well maintained and peaceful. You need to call for a reservation and they take cash or checks. Great water views on this property and a rocky area for swimming access. Apple and pear trees everywhere and dog friendly. Great location to access the Island Line Rail to Trail and close to the ferry. We would love to return next year. If your site is close to the water, you can here a low rumble from the ferry but not troublesome.

We decided to stay 9 nights on a hunch. The hunch paid off! Some sites are shaded, some are open. Some provide lots of space, some are close together. All are on grass. We decided to stay 9 nights on a hunch. The hunch paid off! Some sites are shaded, some are open. Some provide lots of space, some are close together. All are on grass. You won't find much info on their website. The charming owners choose to decide what sites they will rent so it was about 1/2 occupied in the middle of summer. There is no map of the sites, but if you call in advance and explain what you are looking for, chances are they will abide. Spectacular sunsets and a small dock to put in small rooftop boats. We took the ferry from Plattsburgh NY to the Island and the RV park is literally a half mile away from the ferry landing.
The island itself is equally charming and about as opposite a big city as you can get. If you are looking for a cookie cutter park, this ain't it. If you want to relax, this is your baby. Which comes to mind, no kids.

This is a no frills park, with no pool and sites are ungraveled. The restrooms are a little rugged, with quarter showers that need a little more privacy. However, it’s worth it to experience the islands and Burlington from a serene and quiet campground!
