Price included fees from recreation.gov; stayed in May 2022. Small campground with easy enough access while taking into account the narrow road with close trees. My pop-roof type trailer is 15' long and no higher than my Tacoma and I had no uneasiness with the single lane entry road. I stayed in site 8, which felt like I was alone in the place due to the spacing before the next site. There was more than enough depth in that site for my truck and trailer, with some minimal leveling needed. If you choose this site and are towing, the easiest access is to drive through the campground and turn around in the small loop at the end and back in while facing back out towards the highway. The trails are beautiful right from the campground. Lots of trees, shade, and a creek in a ravine. The drive out to the beach was quick and easy.

Pretty and quiet. Best site for trailer is #9. We paid for both 20 and 21 so we could park our truck next to our 24’ trailer. Otherwise, we could park in the day use spots. Good location for Morro Bay. Profuse poison oak.

A bit overpriced for dry camping. The campground is run by a concessionaire and it clearly states on their envelope no checks. What are you supposed to do if you don't have cash? We wrote a check. Even though there was a sign saying the camp host was off duty, he found us and informed us of the no check policy. We were able to pay by credit card. He told us he tears up checks, really? Anyway. . .
It is a pretty little campground. Clean pit toilets. Our site was large with a level parking area. Site 18 and 19 are like a double site, it would have been weird not knowing our friends in that site. If you are tall, mind the big tree overhang beyond site 19. At site 19 is a trail head, its a pretty hike.

Almost all of the other spots were open and since the host was off duty we just picked one that said open, paid our money in the self pay drop box and settled in. We hiked one of the trails by our spot and got to see an amazing sunset. It was super quiet at night except for the critters moving around in the forest around you (which can be a little creepy if you’re sitting outside in the dark). We unfortunately had somewhere to be so could only stay one night but we definitely want to come back and stay a few nights. No showers and the toilets are pit toilets and our AT&T service was almost non existent.

Was surprised to get a spot at this campsite to explore Morro Bay which is about 9 miles away. The camp host Anthony & his wife were very helpful and I enjoyed conversing with them. There is also a nice trail from the campground which will take you to the top of Cerritos Alto or a nice loop around and back to the bottom of the campground (vice versa). Great views all the way! If you just go up about a mile and a half there is a bench which you can use to watch the beautiful sunset. Also cell service there (Verizon).
I ended up in the drive through site which had a vault bathroom next to it, non-potable water, fire pit, and picnic table. Lots of shade but I was able to get enough solar to stay topped off. There are some tight sites and some with lots of space from your neighbors. No cell or internet for Verizon. It’s a pretty area which day hiker, mountain bikers, & bird watchers use. Would stay here again!

If you are in a tent with a tiny car it might be doable but not any sized rv. Skip this campground.

Small campground about 20 minutes from Morro Bay. Only a couple of campsites here suitable for RV's, they are very small and the one lane road in can be a little intimidating pulling a larger trailer or RV. I camped here at site #8 with a 32' fifth wheel and stuck out in the street a foot or so, however it did fit. Again larger rigs watch the turn around at the end. There are a couple of pull throughs that might be a little easier for a larger 35' rig, but I think that should be the max.
Facilities were kept clean by the host and they were very nice. There is vault toilets, fresh water and trash pick up available here. No Waste Dump available.
Trees and foliage is beautiful here and the camp serves as a trial head for a hike to the top of the mountain. There is a lot of poison oak here so be careful, yourself and your dog. Very busy on weekends.
