It’s a pretty large site with multiple large pullouts. I had 2WD so I went to the first pullout since it was dark and didn’t want to risk messing my tires up. Lots of broken glass and a fair amount of trash around. I had 4 bars of Verizon but it still flickered in and out.

Five stars mainly for the cows. Cows everywhere. It actually didn’t smell bad at all though. Perfect time of year to see babies of all sizes. We didn’t go past the first pull off. People parked there to go ride sidexsides. Honestly I miss the cows already.

First I drove all the way back to the Cedar Pocket trailhead. It’s far more beautiful back there of course, but perhaps the Dispersed Camping area is closed right now because I could only find the place to park right at the front of the trail head. And if I parked there I would’ve blocked anyone at all from being able to access it. So I turned around and went back down to the second pull off from the main road. But it had 4 bars of Verizon and T-Mobile and was so gorgeous, I was sad. Then there was the slots right down from them that just didn’t have a signal and I had to pass up. I made it in to the second little pull off from the main road. It’s beautiful and crowded but quiet. When I parked a man who was hiking came out of the hills to get in his car and leave and I told him hi! I’m glad he was hiking because I really wanted to camp in his spot, lol, just making conversation, and he told me “well I live around here and I happen to know that there are literally thousands of spots down that road that you could go camp on“. a little surprised that this person would imply that he had any say at all in anything anyone did, I said “yeah but I need a Wi-Fi signal because I work and also that road is very difficult for my camper it’s rough.” And he replied, while staring right at me and pointing up the road like he was ordering me to leave “THOUSANDS!!” I’ve just stared at him for a second, laughed like I thought he was kidding even though he wasn’t and I said “I’m sure there’s plenty of hiking back there too then. You can take your little Honda and avoid the campers i If you don’t like them being here. Have a great day“. Also there’s some thorns on the ground that poke all the way through my tennis shoes into my foot so I’m not sure what that’s all about lol Not very level everything else is pretty good.

We stayed her on the way to Vegas. We camped in the back of our pickup. Views we’re great. The road in isn’t too bad but there are several washes that will keep motorhomes near the entrance.

Lots of forms and informal sites. This one is past the Cedar Pocket trailhead looking into a pocket of red rock geography. Had 5G T mobile service with 4 bars (have cell extender).

We've been here numerous times including 2 overnights. After our recent overnight I decided it was time for a full review and have it on our blog and a You Tube video. Many campers or road warriors will stop at one of the pullouts within the first 1/4 mile but we prefer to head back into the canyon. Beautiful views and nobody else is usually around. There's a hiking trail into the wash and one of these visits, it'll not be too hot to actually hike.
The road in appeared to have been improved over the last 3 years as it was a nice gravel route and any car should be able to drive it. We had plenty of room off the road to maneuver our Truck Camper. There was an established fire pit, but in the desert and summer, I wouldn't want it or need it.
We had 2 bars T-Mobile service. We had a little luck streaming Netflix but it did need to buffer a couple times.

We had a nice time hiking the hills and the dirt road. We even had friendly moo visitors who were traveling through! Cell service with Verizon was very good. Looking forward to returning here another time!

Lots of room and far enough away to not feel bad to run our generator at 8am!
The cliffs nearby were fun to hike on and St. George was only 20 minutes away- perfect for day trips, groceries, and potable water. Excellent cell coverage as well for working from home!
We will definitely stay again!

We camped with our 34ft TT at the last turnout on the left before the canyon starts - probably the best spot in the area. Do not go further with a larger trailer, as the gravel road narrows.
There were a few cars stopping and turning around in the late evening on the lower parking lot right after the Interstate exit.
No AT&T signal there.
Take your time to hike up the road, explore the canyons behind - there are Joshua trees and fantastic hiking trails!
