Great place to camp. 4 mile round trip hike to a waterfall, access to the lake for boating or paddle boarding. Dog friendly. T-Mobile was blazing fast internet. Sites are fairly uneven front to back. Inner loop sites are a little better.

All sites have a fairly large (12x12) sheltered picnic table and fire ring. Most sites will require some leveling, some more than others. The lakeside sites will require more leveling, especially for longer rigs, but the view is excellent. Georgetown is <5miles and offers everything you need, restaurants, shopping, services, etc. I stayed here numerous times from Nov'22 thru March'23. Cell coverage was good (3-4 bars) for both Verizon and ATT, including 5G most of the time. The ONLY downside to this campground is the bathhouses, especially showers, are pretty hideous. You won't embrace trips to the shower.
There are numerous popular hiking/biking trails in or near the campground.

A great location, and the sites could be great, but the bathrooms are old, and not clean. We usually use bathrooms, but this trip we are making use of our van bath. Sad because we usually love ACE campgrounds.

Bathrooms were clean but older and some were locked (in picnic area).

I do notice a lot of spots are not level, especially front to back. Be prepared on some of the spots to really have to jack up things.
I like the spots near the lake, little more camper dense and not a lot of trees but nice view of the lake and spread out enough you don't feel like other campers are in whisper range.
The spots in the back are my favorite. Specifically spot 48. Easy to back into, pretty level and you are surrounded by trees. It's easy to forget there are other campers around. Lots of little trails to go off on and get lost in the woods.

We stayed 2 weeks, and 1 of those weeks was spent huddling inside while the whole world outside got coated in ice. But it was still lovely here. We saw a family of deer every morning and night. There was a pack of coyotes that also roamed the campground sometimes.

We stayed here for a week in January at two different campsites. Campsites were mostly unlevel but manageable. Nice space between campsites and the covered picnic tables at each site were a plus. The reason for 3 stars is the condition of the restrooms/showers. If you depend on restrooms/showers at the campgrounds like we do since we have a pickup camper, the 2 different restrooms we used had equipment in both the men's and women's restrooms that didn't work (hand dryers, only one sink out of 2 worked, only 1 toilet out of 2 worked, etc.). Plus in the week we were there, it appeared that none of the bathrooms got cleaned and that they hadn't been cleaned for some time. We saw someone come around and replenish toilet paper and empty trash, but that was it and the campground had been almost full over the MLK holiday weekend. This campground would be a real gem with a little more TLC because it's a great place to stay between Georgetown a few minutes to the north and Austin about a half hour to the south.

Great campground near Georgetown TX. Needed a place to stay for a few days on my way from Austin to Fort Worth. Used my National Park Pass and received half off the nightly rate. Such a great value. Site was level and had shade. Electric and water was great. I could see the water from my site. Campground quiet and lovely. There was a hiking trail not to far away which I walked to the lake and back. I could have kept going but turned around and came back. The bathrooms were a bit rustic but okay for me. Needed to bring my own hand soap but not complaining this campground was a great value. Would stay here again. Also WIFI was great and allowed me to work. Easy to get to Georgetown to shop or visit.

Our campsite had a broken tree branch hanging down which prevented us from being able to open our slide, but after a call to the lake office a host arrived with a chain saw and took care of the problem. We were in site 23 which has a great view of the lake. Nice covered and level picnic table, but the area around the fire ring was too sloped for chairs. Utilities worked well. Restrooms are "rustic".
