The campground is well run, beautifully landscaped, and has very nice showers and laundry room. The common area is awesome, with picnic tables, fire pits, and Adirondack chairs with a close-up view of the river.

First the Pros
-Text communication with the campground is super helpful and efficient
-The main building and cabins were really lovely
-The staff was nice
-FHUs, level sites, free coffee, good connectivity with a cell tower nearby.
-Almost everyone we chatted with in the community of Grand Junction was pleasant
-The nearby Colorado National Monument was stunning. If you go in the summer, I suggest going early in the morning because of the intense heat.
The Cons
-We didn't realize that Grand Junction was in the desert, otherwise we wouldn't have stayed at Camp Eddy, because there was no trees for shade and temps got up to the mid-90s so it was unbearable. We could only go out between 9p-9a, so we felt trapped with the blinds down all of the time in our rig.
-Camp Eddy is not kid-friendly. There are no playgrounds in the campground, or in the large park next door and there is no pool.
-We expected an urban campground to be in walking distance to shops and restaurants, but it was in an industrial area.
-It seems like they are trying to get the landscaping to grow, but with the harsh climate it is all dry and crispy.
-We were excited Camp Eddy was on the Colorado River, but that part of the river is just brown mud.
-We talked to local city workers who told us that many homeless lived on the river at Las Colonais Park next door to the campground, and we did see them bathe in the bathroom there.
The park was formerly used as an uranium mill which produced 2.2 million tons of radiactive tailings. It was recently cleaned up and developed into a park.

This is a brand new park, level spots, full hookups. They also have Airstreams for rent and tiny houses. Right on the Colorado river. Miles of walking trails. There’s a great lazy river just across the street. Lime and Bird scooters nearby. Great showers, club house, food truck on Friday nights, live music. 5 Star !!!

This is a newer park…everything this nice and clean, and the staff are great. It’s also in a great location…read some of the other reviews, there’s a lot within walking distance of the park.

Great place to ride bikes or rent an electric scooter next door at the park. The bathrooms/showers were clean with hot water. Brand new laundry facilities, $3.50 for wash & dry. Sites are level and a nice size with nice quality hookups. The staff is friendly too. They have remodeled airstreams and tiny homes you can rent which look super cool too! Can't recommend this place enough. Close to live music, skate park, botanical gardens, breweries, a disc golf course, excellent river views. You'll love it here!

We had a fabulous time at Camp Eddy. Its easily accessible with pretty-level gravel sites. The entire camp is pure class and you’ll feel relaxed and really luxurious. Amazing views and evening cocktails from their terrace. Its a camp for all ages. I highly recommend Camp Eddy. You will not be disappointed.

This RV park is premium, second most expensive we’ve stayed in. Level pull-through site (48), nicely landscaped with fire ring and clean, new-looking, rubber-coated picnic table. Good water pressure and clean power. My only nit on the site is that the sewer cap barely opened far enough to get my standard elbow in and out. I’d recommend chiseling away the cement a tiny bit behind the hinge so campers don’t break the cap off.
The community facilities must be amazing from reading the reviews and talking with our friends. We regret not having time to relax on the patio in front of the Colorado, explore the area, and sneak in a game of pool.
We have visited all lower 48 states and lower provinces in the last two years. Although the staff was very accommodating, we like parks that let you pick your own sites. They have a beautiful map, but it would be nice if it showed availability. They have a cart ordering system which is unique, but the description of every type of site is identical, including the pictures. This was confusing; with this system they should consider site descriptions ( number, type, length, levelness, pictures, view, obstructions, etc) and let you choose your own, or just have one generic choice for each type of site.
One other nit. Checkout is 11:00am, way too early. That would have been a deal breaker if our friends weren’t already there. 1:00 to 3:00 allows one-day campers to take in hikes, cook a meal and relax without having to get up at the crack of dawn.
Bottom line, we would and will return, but plan to stay another day or more.

Was told the drive thru’s had priority and eventually they may get tables and fire rings for the back in sites. Everything has small gravel, flat surfaces so easy to park and stay level. Very convenient to bike trail (adjacent to property) and to the boat ramp for kayaks and SUPs. Full hookups, new laundry area, nice dog park. There’s also a very large dog park just a short walk near Las Colonias Park. Edgewater Brewery is close enough to walk or bike to. Downtown is also close with some great restaurants. Lunch Loops mtn bike trails are an easy bike ride away on the paved bike trail. It’s also an easy drive or bike ride to Palisade for fun wine tasting. Love this area and this new campground makes it easy to enjoy all that the Western Slope has to offer.
