Easy to find, tricky to leave if going eastbound, just be careful. Clean, showers warm, site pretty level. Awesome Fish & Chips Food truck (don’t know how often there). Laundry and pool. Free WiFi; could use a booster out to sites further away, a bit spotty but plenty of cell service.

“Not Handicap Accessible”
Reviewed 9/27/2023
Sep 2023. Late in the season. Nice big sign, nice place, with the handicap accessibility symbol on the women’s toilet, but no grab bars and low toilet. The showers are all small without grab bars, shower seat or hand held spray. Very disappointed.

“Sweet But Tired”
Reviewed 8/22/2022
Sweet Family running this campground. But this campground is dying a slow death. The property is for sale and I think the current owners are doing bare minimum. It’s fine for a one night stopover. Be aware, they only have 30amp power.

This would have received 5 stars except: We submitted our reservation request on-line. We immediately received an e-mail stating they had received our request and would confirm within 24 hrs. Approximately 24 hrs later, we received a confirmation of our booking however there was confusion regarding the dates booked. My wife called to confirm we were booked. The person who answered was incredibly rude. As my wife tried to explain the problem, the person told her to “stop talking and just listen”. He then told us to show up before 8 and they would find a place to put us. He then hung up!
Fast forward 2 days. We show up mid afternoon. Our name is on a reservation sheet on the office door telling us to just pick any one of 4 sites. A young man came out of the house and explained everything. He was very friendly. The site we chose was plenty big, shaded, and had great wi-fi. You could hear traffic from the highway but it was not loud and we rarely noticed it.
The toilets were being remodeled so not available but we were told this when we booked.

Wonderful staff, nice campground. Even got a nature show as there's a nest with 2 baby owls, learning to fly in one of the trees on site. Full hookups. The campground filled up by evening. Great, comfortable site.

“WORST RV experience ever!”
noted 10/9/2021
I would give this place zero stars if I could. Out of 16 years of RVing, this is the worst place we have ever stayed at. We have actually never had a negative experience in the past, until we attempted to stay here. We booked Brookside 5 months in advance. When we arrived the first evening of our reservation, some man, whom we later found out was the owner, Dane, came out and started screaming at us without even talking to us. He was screaming at us to get off his property and go to wherever we are suppose to go. We tried to explain calmly that we are suppose to be here, since we have it booked for three days, and it was all paid in advance for that matter. He continued to scream saying he doesn't care and turn around and get off his property. Then he was angry at us because he stepped in a puddle. Seriously? He refused to let us in and actually closed the "closed for the winter" gate on us. We had to back up into the busy street, with our RV and our towed vehicle. All of you who tow your vehicles know that you can't back up without the chance to damage your steering component. That was quite dangerous. Once we finally backed up safely enough to leave Brookside, we were stranded on the side of the road to sleep for the night, since we had no where else booked. I don't know why this man decided to go into the RV hospitality visit when he can't even be hospitable to his own paying customers. Don't book here unless you want to be screamed at and abused, being left stranded with no where to go. As a side note, this place is also very noisy because they are located right on the highway.
