This campground is inside a large urban park with a ton of activities. Our site had a nice view of the small lake. There are pickleball courts, tennis courts, a driving range, mini golf, bike paths, picnic shelters, and even a large water park contained within the park boundaries. The campground is set off to one side, open to registered campers only but nobody is manning the campground entrance. Sites had a lot of room between rigs, some were awkwardly placed but nothing unmanageable. There are so many iguanas here, some of them were huge! Also great for birding. We were here on a weekend and the campground was almost full, there was less noise than expected. We didn’t use the facilities but there are laundry rooms and bath houses. Pleasant place to stay, convenient to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, etc. We would stay here again if in the area.

We enjoyed the feel of the park, with space to wander and see wildlife--including more iguanas than I have ever seen, some particularly large. Making a turn off of highway traffic, it feels very back to nature when you get to the campground. The park has many activities, lots of shelters for picnics, walking paths, nice playgrounds for kids, and has the campground set back enough to slow the pace. Very friendly campers abound from various parts of the country. Shower houses and water park closed for Covid, but laundry available and accessible in the campground. I would only grouse about the price, though expected for a popular park in Florida in November.

This is a county park which gets heavy day use. There are numerous picnic shelters, tennis courts, pickleball courts, a water park and a golf driving range and mini-golf. All of these amenities are well segregated from the campground which was pleasantly quiet.
Sites can be a bit on the small side with not much privacy or separation. All sites have paved pads with a small patio area. Most sites are back-ins though there are many pull thru's as well.
Plenty to do in the area with lots of attractions, shopping and eateries within an easy drive.

I used to go to summer camp here as a kid so I was surprised to find they have a pretty new campground on its own little island in the middle of this local county park. Full hookups and lots of activities in the park to do. We took the kids putt-putt golfing but hey have a driving range, batting cages, kids parks and a water park (when COVID is over this would make it extra worth it.)

We love this park for camping. We were assigned one of the RV sites near the primitive camping, which backs right to the lake. The view and spaciousness is great! Very quiet campground with a good walking/biking path all around the park.

I stayed here for two nights while doing some emergency tank sensor repair which required water and sewer connections, and compared to the price of other full hookup campsites it was the most affordable. Friendly staff, very organized, I had no trouble reserving a site via telephone. Everything worked, site was clean, there were lots of activities in the park itself, including a water park! They accept older RVs too, which as the owner of a pre-owned, well-traveled motorhome I always appreciate. The sites were on the cramped side and there were noisy campers nearby—loud bass, loud talking and loud car door slamming—but the ability to use my air conditioning unit without the generator made up for it. It’s on the high end of my price range though, so I would stay again during a cheaper season.

The campground is well maintained and has a full range of site sizes and placement. This park is close to a lot of shopping and services. However, we actually prefer TY Park in Hollywood which has a wonderful staff. C.B. Smith staff is adequate but not nearly as friendly and helpful.

Broward County has very good camping.
Not as convenient to downtown and the beaches as some of the other parks, but all of the facilities are first rate.

They have pull through sites in a conventional layout and clusters of 5 or 6 back in sites. There’s plenty of open space between the clusters and the pull through sites. Nice laundry facility. Campground is adjacent to a large county park with tennis courts, walking trails and a water park. There is a hospital and shopping mall across the street but you would never know it as the entire campground is surrounded by trees and shrubs. You would think that you’re in the woods but you’re really in the centEr of the city. If you’re in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area this is where you want to stay.
