Couple things to point out first. This is not the campground's fault, but worth noting before coming here. The "neighbors" (a property very close) have a bunch of hunting dogs that live outside. They bark and scream 24/7. Also for anyone not aware because the listing on Campendium doesn't make it clear: this is a VERY popular fishing spot, so it smells like fish and there are dozens of trucks coming and going with boats all day long.
That said, none of that stuff bothers me personally, so here's my opinion on the stuff that applies directly to the campground.
RVs park on concrete slabs which are pretty level. No issues with the power hookup. During my entire week I had one very brief instance of water pressure dropping, which resolved itself in seconds.
Despite the "all boats and RVs must check in at office" sign there was never anyone in the office. Although someone appeared to empty the numerous trash cans regularly, which is great!
And at the end of the day, this place is absolutely beautiful. The lake is incredible, and the tiny rivers flowing off the lake around the RVs are beautiful.
If you like fishing, this is the place to be. If you don't mind being around tons of trucks, boats, and people fishing, this is still a great option. But if you want quiet days and hate the smell of fish, stay far away.
Also in response to other ratings, I saw two cats the entire week, and they stayed far away from camp sites.

Yes, there are several resident cats and houses for them, but I did not see them near the campsites during our stay. No other amenities here other than camping, boat ramp, and fishing. Camping area was clean. The restaurant is closed and does not appear to be opening any time soon. It was nice to see Families with kids camping & fishing on the weekend. We used this stay to visit family in St Augustine (hour drive away) as we couldn't find anything last minute.....it did the job. Online reservation system worked well, and I was able to call the county parks/rec on arrival when we wanted to change sites.

If you love giant vultures...this is your place. These 8-10 birds are massively big, scary and overrun the campground facility area as well, adding to the stench and creepiness of the isolated feeling in the small campground with little to offer other than a big fishing lake.
If you appreciate very clean and tidy campground facilities, this is definitely NOT your place. We arrived late Sunday and didn't realize they are closed Monday and Tuesday, resulting in very dirty bathrooms. There was mud all over the place, along with other undesirables (used band aids, toilet paper, wads of soiled paper towels, etc.) left on the floor from campers. I had to personally clean the shower area so that my daughter would be willing to shower! It amazed me that on the days they were closed they did manage to replace the empty paper towel dispenser and fill the soap dispenser, but completely ignore all the crap and mud left all over the place (so not even a quick spot clean for basic presentation).
This was our first extended RV stay at a campsite (we're used to roughing it out in a tent). I was hopeful for clean facilities when Wednesday rolled around, and they delivered. However, it was not maintained throughout the week. Additionally, some camper decided to smoke in the restroom, leaving the place to smell for a while. I found myself "cleaning" their facilities before being able to use it. I am not necessarily a clean freak (I'm used to roughing it) but do expect basic organized & sanitary facilities.
My favorite thing was friendly RVers that helped us park our RV (we're newbies). Plus, the friendly people I encountered in the adjacent neighborhood when I went kayaking in my kayak. Unfortunately, the campers next door that arrived midweek were rude and mean with their antagonistic dog. They purposefully antagonized our calm labradoodle (instead of reaching out & talking to us about a possible conflict between the dogs) to the point where she destroyed the screen on our $400.00 canopy. They stood there with their dog, watched as the dogs were getting agitated (they had a little dog that would be easy to move or carry so they could have avoided the scuffle), and didn't even apologize or feel bad in the resulting destruction of our property.
In short, I will never go to Bull Creek Campground again. It may be a hopping place for fishermen and retired people, but not ideal for families wanting to enjoy the outdoors, nice quiet times in a clean and friendly environment, and traditional family camping experiences.

This campground isn’t near much, but it’s beautiful! Every site is waterfront, but i think site 1 is the best. Your patio faces the water with no neighbors to block your view. Some people putting their boats in the water, but totally peaceful place with beautiful sunsets.
Note: there are signs at the water spigots at each site warning that it is non potable water. Would recommend coming here with your fresh tank full. There are also definitely gators in the area, so just be a bit cautious when taking your pets out. Otherwise, very peaceful stay.

We were looking for a place to ride out the Thanksgiving holidays, and this fit the bill well. Turkey day itself was fairly empty, but the weekend after I think only had about 7 other RVs. The last week we stayed there was only one other RV on site (and I don't think the folk were actually staying there since they had no tow vehicle and we never saw anyone) which really seemed odd considering it was "high season."
The website says that dock space was $5/day, but the people here said it was included which was a nice surprise. We kept the sailboat in the marina (very, very tiny slips - the 22' boats that were in it were way too big. Even at 17', we felt squeezed), and the dinghy pulled up onshore at the RV site. Every site is on a canal which are fairly deep water. Sites 23-25 do not get a lot of water movement and have a layer of leaves/plants growing on top of the water, so if you want to use the canal for boating, I would suggest avoiding those sites. I would also suggest avoiding sites 1-10 which are next to the boat ramp/trailer parking. Folk start launching their boats early, and they make no effort to do so quietly.
Sailing on Dead Lake and Crescent Lake was absolutely excellent. Nearby Crescent City has a restaurant where you can dock and eat (with a tiki bar on their dock on Sunday) which makes a nice stopover while boating. There is also a restaurant/bar at the campground that is very busy from breakfast to night with good food (breakfast is a really good value), and the wait staff is friendly.
Although I like an RV park with some trees between sites, since there was no one else there most of the time, it still felt fairly private (at least there is grass between them). Each site has a concrete pad, water, electricity, sewer, picnic table, and fire ring/grill.
The negatives were few and mostly annoyances. There is no place to walk or bike despite being surrounded by park (there is no other development on Dead Lake other than Bull Creek Campground and Restaurant). People (fishers, boaters, restaurant patrons) drive WAY too fast in the park and on the road leading to it and let their BIG dogs go off-leash despite numerous signs. One time a couple drove up, absolutely trashed the bathroom/shower, and then left. In other words, most of the problems are with the visiting people not the park or the RVers although there are things the park could do to mitigate (like put in speed bumps for one). The bathrooms are pretty clean except the shower does have a layer of stuff growing on it (but not nearly as bad as many places we've been).

This little gem is right on Dead Lake and the gator filled fingers of water that infiltrate the area make for great atmosphere, if not slightly unnerving! Every site on the grounds backs up to water, so you can't go wrong picking a site. I was sure to check the area before stepping off the bus at night, however.
Each site has a picnic table and fire ring.
There is a little fish camp/ restaurant on the grounds but worth mentioning that they have nothing to do with the campground. They do offer bait and the restaurant has very affordable fish sandwiches and such.
