This was the most expensive campsite that we stayed in during our trip, but the location was worth it. We heard the wolves howling each morning right after daybreak since the RV park is adjacent to the Yellowstone NP boundary.
- Staff was friendly and very helpful.
- Received $20 voucher to use in the theatre gift shop. The quality of their merchandise, shirts, etc. was much better than the gift shops on the main street.
- WiFi was good, but no air TV reception available.
- Sites/hookups were good.
- Restroom/showers were in good shape and clean.
We ate supper at the Three Bear Restaurant. The food was a little pricey, but excellent with large portions.

The Yellowstone season isn't in full swing yet and West Yellowstone is fairly empty. However, because many of the RV parks including those within the park haven't opened yet, those that are open are busy. This is a no frills park but it's clean and well kept. It is directly behind the IMAX theater and staying here comes with a discount to the theater and a coupon for the store inside the theater complex. The location is great in that it's right next to the entrance to the park as well as being within walking distance to restaurants and stores. I would assume that the downtown area gets congested during the summer so being able to leave your vehicle at the RV park and walk would be an advantage. The price seemed a little high but it also seems to be the going rate for sites near the National Parks as you get further north where the high season is so short. It's mid May and there is still lots of snow on the ground, so as it melts the ground will be muddy for a while. The sites are gravel.

We used this place as home base for three days while we explored the west side of yellowstone national park. It was great. We stayed in site 16 which was at the very end. No one on our door side except for the town. We were right next to their small grassy area for dogs, but it was perfect since we have dogs. It’s a small dog park with just grass and a dog waste bin (with free bags!) but at least its something. Full hookups and if you have t-mobile, you’ll have good service. Considering this park is prime location next to a national park, the sites are fairly spaced out. It’s close but not so close. We’ve been in parks where we were much closer to our neighbors! There is a picnic table for each side and a little grass for the interior sites. The rv park is owned by the imax. When we checked in, they gave us free hand sanitizer, two complimentary ice cream cones from the store, discounted imax tickets, and a $20 credit at the gift store (which had a lot of good stuff). One night it rained and we watched the yellowstone movie on the imax which was actually pretty good. This park is 5 minutes away from the west gate of yellowstone national park and within walking distance of the town of west yellowstone.

Resort prices for lackluster campground; you are paying to be at the mouth of Yellowstone, which is invaluable considering everything you want to see within the park is 1-3 hours away.
The park itself is fine - the showers and laundry work. But it’s very small with cramped spaces. We were fortunate to get Site 15 at the end of the first row, so we aren’t facing anyone’s sewer or slide outs, but one site faces the doggy waste bin and another faces the dumpster, so I could see those visitors having grievance.
There is no dog run, just a square of grass. I understand it’s difficult to provide space for pets here as it borders the park, but just be aware that your pet won’t get exercised.
What’s frustrating is we are full-timers staying here for over two weeks, and the managers indicated they won’t accept deliveries from Amazon, UPS, or FedEx. Long story short - FedEx confirmed they will deliver directly to your site. Unfortunately, I already placed a hold on the delivery and these were time sensitive items.
They give you a discount to the IMAX theater and a token for a free ice cream cone, which might satiate your need for more from this park if you’re retired or traveling with kids, but we aren’t.
Overall, I would stay here again because of the location. But like most “resorts” on the cusp of a national park, it leaves more to be desired.

It’s been a long time(at least 20 years) since either of us had been to Yellowstone, so we wanted to make a 2 week vacation to enjoy the sights of Yellowstone & the Grand Tetons. Additionally, this was going to be the assessment to see if this is the direction we want to take (almost full-timing).
Ultimately, it’s an RV Park. Nothing pretty to see, but that’s not why we are here. It’s close to the entrance of Yellowstone and within walking distance of some really good food spots. Check in was easy, sites were close to level (though the river rock gave us a fit trying to get set up), easy to get into & the amenities were great. Their restrooms/showers are clean and warm. It’s right behind an IMAX theater and you get a discount for being a RV Park resident. The people are friendly, which we love as that’s the part of an RV Park that’s fun as you get to meet new people.
Looking forward to our next visit with the grand babies as we will be back!

Close to everything, a bit pricey but convenience is valuable. Camped over Labor Day weekend... all sites full. On night 3, there was an obnoxious dog barking... temp got down to 22 degrees. Management required water hookup disconnect at 7:00PM and resume in the morning... makes sense.

Very convenient to Yellowstone!!!You’re basically camping right next to Yellowstone National Park. This campground is very convenient to everything that you would want to do in town you can easily walk up and down the streets shop and quick access to visit Yellowstone we would definitely stay here again. My only complaint would be that we did not find out until arriving that all of their showers and bathrooms were closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak it would’ve been nice to know that before we arrived. Also the sites are very close together. Also it’s kind of annoying to be charged Full price when you’re not able to use a bunch of the amenities.

Gravel Lot behind IMAX Theater. Discount tickets of $6 available for feature films. $8 Hollywood movies at night.
Lots are gravel and tight. Roads are gravel and full of pot holes. Outer spaces (Back-In) barely fit 45' RV with truck parked beside (not in front of). It's really tight. Electricity (50A), water and sewer all at back of rig. Needed extension sewer hose to work. Water shut off at night due to cold weather.
Pull thru available. Hook ups fit normal RV.

This park is the closest to the West Yellowstone entrance.
Verizon good in town without any boosters. Averaged 3-4 bars.
No antenna TV service.
West Yellowstone is a small town but has about everything you need. Prices seemed about average for restaurants, fuel ($3.20 G/Average) and groceries.
There are other parks to stay at in this town as well. All close to the Nat'l Park. McDonalds is across the street (walking distance). Ernie's Bakery and Three Bears Restaurant are also excellent choices.
Bear have been known to be in the park. DON'T leave anything out. We did not see a bear but we did see a fox while we were there. Our lot was backed up to the Nat'l Park separated by only a wood privacy fence.

I booked a this site for 7 days in March for my Memorial day vacation extending to June 3rd.
Upon arrival the staff were EXTREMELY cold in attitude and frankly a little condescending.
The sites are narrow, the gravel/dirt driveway has more potholes than anything.
The pet relief area was utterly disgusting and the trash for depositing the cleanup from your pets was full and not emptied the entire 4 days I was there. They clearly do nothing to treat for mosquitoes.
While there they had the pothole pathway (drive) slathered in oil to such a degree what you might as well be walking into a deep fryer, it was a total nightmare trying to clean my 5th wheel once I got it out of this hell hole of a campground.
On my 2nd night they had another camper pull into the site adjoining mine, a couple fo drunks from Idaho who thought it would be 'creepy' is someone came down my emergency exit (yes I have stairs on both sides of my 5th wheel) while they were eating (more like over imbibing)
The manager (Doug) called my cell, and told me I need to put my stairs up (blocking the hallway in my 5th wheel) as they were on the adjoining site when in fact they were not, he never got off his aspirations to even look and when I went to the office to see what all the fuss was about there was conveniently nobody there.
If you are even considering this campground DON'T DO IT!!
I have never been to any campground, private, KOA, Good SAM etc that was less professional in a resort community. I will never set foot on the campground again and hope others heed the warning.

Most awful experience of my life. We asked before we paid if we could have our dogs pen outside on the gravel not the grass. He ASSURED us it was fine as long as we didn’t leave food out. Oh. My. God. My parents had gone to watch a movie , someone BANGED loudly on the back door, NOT the front one. I opened it to see like a worker, this creepy bald guy. I was like hey...? And he said in a snooty voice “hey you can't have those here” *points to pen* I politely said oh ok well(planning to later tel my parents what occurred)- cuts me off "it's actually illegal and I can call the police" 0.0 Not wanting to get arrested I said I'd put it away, and he kept retelling me(like five times) he that I couldn’t have that pen before finally leaving after I said i would do it after putting my dogs in their kennels so they didn't run out the door. He finally left but I was left extremely uncomfortable about the whole situation. When my parents came back they left to tell the office what happened. The worker in question immediately denied saying any of that and then changed his story to say I had food in their kennel which I DID NOT, I had a water dish and that was it. I actually was on the phone during the whole incident so I have a witness to what he said to me. Safe to say I will NEVER visit this RV Park again and will tell everyone I know this is a terrible place to go.
