The Blue Heron folks are kind and generous.

Doesn’t hurt to ask - allowed to stay one night although other reviewers said it was HH only.

A real treat along this rocky coastal region. I arrived after hours, found a spot, chatted with some other campers, and slept. In the morning, I checked in and told the staff where I was parked. Don't try to call ahead. They do not accept reservations and will not be able to tell you if there is any space available. Max camping is 2 days. When I say "camping" I really mean low-impact parking. You don't have a campsite. You have a boondocking parking place in an area that otherwise has no overnight free parking. So, be kind and respectful of the property. Support this Harvest Host site with a purchase while you're here, too.

We stayed 2 nights. That’s the maximum you could stay. It has a petting park, store that you could buy their cheese products, wine, light meals, ice cream candies and coffee.

The RV area is a huge grassy field next to the 101, but traffic dies down in the evening. It was completely peaceful all night. Check in was simple, and we picked up cheese and wine in the evening to enjoy at our site. Everyone was super quiet and considerate. Next afternoon, we grabbed ice cream and coffee before heading out. It was a perfect stopover in Tillamook.

We reserved through Harvest Host a couple of days in advance during a week when the temps in Portland were going to be in the high 90s, so we expected it to be crowded as everyone fled to the coast. The store and picnic area out front were crowded, but we were able to find some sausage and cheese, order a sandwich for lunch and get ice cream. Check in was easy, the cashier gave us a sign for our window and asked us to fill out a questionnaire on the iPad in the middle of the store. We parked at the far end of the lot, as did everyone else, to get away from noisy 101 traffic. However, at about dusk the traffic died way down and it would have been quiet enough to sleep nearer the highway. As HH members we were able to spend two nights, which allowed us to go kayaking in Netarts Bay the next day and get another ice cream. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food and ice cream excellent, if a little overpriced.

No one said they have tame rabbits living in the campground. My dog was a maniac all night and day.
