Our 27ft wouldn't fit in most of the sites and level up. This is a great place for tent campers—some sites back up to the water. The bathrooms and the shower were some of the worst I've used. This place is lacking in basic maintenance. Most picnic tables were in disrepair, some unusable, and the road was rough. This place hasn't seen a lawn mower or weed eater in a long time. There is a sign warning about large RVs being able to turn around. If you turn left where the warning sign is, the road is wide enough and loops back to the road you came in on. If you drive past that sign, you may need to back into space to turn around if you have a large rig. Two sites, 21 and 26, have power and water. There is an additional 10.00 fee for water and power. One night was enough it was not worth 40.00

This was a hidden gem for us! A campground on the water in California that felt safe and was reasonably priced!
On site camphost "Dude" is a great guy and very knowledgeable about all the berries that grow in the area as we did our share of fall foraging here.
Site 24 and 25 back up to give water views and both are large and level for most rigs. Getting in here the road was bit rough compared to Oregon standards but easy money in comparison to Arizona :)
We chose 24 because it had the most open sky for Starlink and solar as only site 9 and 10 have electric and water hook ups.
There is a whole other campground loop that they warn trailers and motorhomes not to use, but after walking it we would have felt fine taking our Airstream in there and there are several sites (11 and 12) that are large enough for our 28 foot trailer. They would have been in the fall shade alot longer though so we chose 24.
There are potable water spigots throughout the campground and a full functioning bathhouse with a shower stall for an additional fee.
The only noise here if you get good neighbors is the sound of the ocean waves crashing on the other side of the lagoon!
Our price represented a veteran's discount. The park ranger did come by every morning we were there to check on campers and collect the payment envelopes. Very friendly and attentive!

This area is beautiful and the public day use was great for letting the dogs run while we stayed at Sue Meg campground. The ocean beach is rough surf and we avoided it to stay on the lagoon instead.

Decent bathrooms, cheap showers and firewood. Two serviced sites for an extra $10 that were mostly empty during our stay. Nearby state Parks were all booked but this one has plenty of sites mid-week in late April. OK for smaller trailers/RVs but not big-rig friendly.

We came here based on a friend’s recommendation. It was ok, but the one site we could use (25’) was muddy and dark. Fellow campers were nice - but one fellow “posted up” and felt he needed to hang out with us and tell his life’s story. Verizon cell coverage was fair

This was a pretty neat little park because of the dense greenery and access to the lagoon/spit. There are two sites with water/30 amp electric and we managed to snag one after arriving on a Sunday evening. The rest were dry, though some are right on the water with beautiful tree cover. Site quality was highly mixed, ours was fairly overgrown and the fire pit unusable because of close vegetation. Slightly unlevel side to side, more front to back. Dirt/grass/mulch pad. We were separated from the other hookup site with a big log - not ideal but we needed the juice due to poor solar from shading.
Showers and bathroom available. Kayak rental and cheap firewood too.
We used this place as a less expensive base to explore Redwood NP. We're too long for the various state parks and NPs at 30 ft but we fit fine in the hookup site. There was an additional loop that might be hard to maneuver in with a bigger trailer - they have signs advising you not to try.
The access road is in terrible shape with potholes. I've driven on better USFS roads in the middle of nowhere.

I stayed here on a Sunday night, and the campsite only had four campers in it. I had a good choice of campsites, and picked one right along the water, which was level and dry. The camp host dude, which is his name, was extremely friendly and helpful and offered me, a host of information about the site and the amenities. The campsite has a single bathroom for men and a single bathroom for women and a shower which cost $.50 for five minutes. Camping prices range from $22-$25 depending upon your active duty retiree status. Overall I think this is an excellent campground for anyone who wants to be close to the water and away from traffic.

Mostly locals stay here plus a site with homeless men. No one was offensive, just noisy families at 8:30 when we returned from Fern Canyon and Drewry Scenic Drive.
Restrooms have running cold water and flush toilets. No mirror, just the basics.
Most road trippers should bypass this one and stay at one of the many state park campgrounds nearby.

We pulled in about 3 o’clock on a Friday and everything was taken except one site - is about big enough to park your car and that was it. The county should be ashamed to take $25 for two of the sites here, that are next to each other separated by logs. They’re tiny, sloping, there’s hardly a spot to pitch a small tent, and when you do it’s next to the ring. The county should pull out the logs in between these two interior sites combine them, then it’s worth the money. The rest of the campground has some beautiful sites, larger, tucked amongst the trees and much better, easy to use, more like real campsites, but there’s a couple in the middle you have to watch for they’re horrible, worth a lot less. Basically they’ve squeezed in too many sites for the area.
