Easy drive to Gettysburg, Harrisburg, and even Hershey as we did our fair share of exploring while here. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly. Would return!

Ben Franklin RV Park works well for us to visit family in the area. We basically sleep there and don’t use the facilities. There is easy in and out of the park and getting into the sites. Our site was near the highway with the expected noise mostly from large trucks. Earplugs worked well!

Easy access no matter the size of your rig. We’re 45 ft. If you’re towing there’s a large stone lot when you pull in to unhook or park your trailer. 1/2 mile off route 30. 1/2 mile off route 30.
In the winter most of the people are long term stays, people working in the area, so it’s super quiet, no one’s out being roudy all night😊. The only noise is from 30 and I don’t hear anything when I’m asleep.
They have a couple private shower bathrooms that are huge and always super clean and warm.
Also the big multipurpose room has a few bathrooms in it but I wasn’t in them.
I’m not sure the actual rates per night cause I was using the park more as storage not living there so Tom gave me a cheaper rate.
Very easy to get along with and not trying to gouge their customers.

We stayed one night and really enjoyed this wonderful little campground. Hooks ups were well placed, and the sites were easy to access. They have several clean, convenient bathhouses and toilet rooms. There is also a beautiful large clubhouse for meals and get-togethers. The owner is very friendly and helpful and they seem to work hard to keep the place spruced up and the customers happy!
A couple of drawbacks (but not deal-breakers):
The site is very close to Route 30 interchange, so there is road noise, but it didn't disturb my sleep (and I am a light sleeper)
There were some faint, not-so-nice smells. But I assume that this is just a temporary farm-related thing?
We would definitely stay here again! Thanks!

The location is great for seeing may historic places. We have been full time RVing for 2 years and have stayed at many rv campgrounds. Ben Franklin RV is one we would recommend to others and visit again. It has many pros; like the porch swings in trees, the patio with a waterfall, the view of a field, great WiFi and it is very reasonably priced for the area. It also has some cons; there are about 3 older well kept mobile homes, no picnic tables and the fire rings are big tire rims. The main issue could be the noise from US 30, it is pretty loud, but if you run a fan it will solve the problem. The pros easily out weigh the cons.
One last con - If you stay 6 night, the 7th is free.

Sites were most rutted with muddy tire tracks and not very level. Hook ups for sewer was terrible, unable to reach the sewer even with 20 ft hose, rendering the sewer useless. So much for paying FHU rates. Never saw anyone associated with the campground staff, or host for the two days we stayed. Only things positive we can say is the bathhouse was clean and spacious. Wifi was OK. Good for a one night stay if you are tired of driving. Otherwise ramble on.

We have stayed at Ben Franklin ever time we have return to our home town over the last five years. It is the only park in the area large enough for Big Rigs. Our nightly rate is a result of the monthly rate of $500. The road is paved and the sites are a mix of gravel and grass. This use to be a mobile home park and is being converted to an all RV park. As trailers are vacated, they are removed and the site becomes an RV site. There are a few trailers left. Most of the sites are level but little is done to make them look like true sites. There are a few very unlevel sites in the center overflow area that only have water and electric. All other sites are FHU/50 amp. The park has a bathhouse now and laundry, as well as, a dump station. The owners are very friendly and work hard to accommodate our needs. The nicest and largest sites are on the lower back level, but they are across from highway and right on a curve so the jake brakes are very loud. The park is very to easy to get to from Route 30. The WiFi is generally pretty good. Most of the time it is self registration. Your paperwork will be in a box at the entrance and you are generally given a choice of sites if they are available.
