It is FF. You have to put your cash money in a enveloppe in the box.
We arrivered at 16.15h. Lucky we had a site. One of the best: A good view on DT. At 18.00h all site were full!
Toilets oké!
Hike: a lot of possibility around Devils Tower.

We stayed here for two days in mid-August, and while I was often surprised at how crowded the monument, visitor center, and hiking trails were, I was delighted at how peaceful this campground remained.
It started right when we pulled in, and were greeted by two friendly camp hosts. At 1pm we had our pick of sites and chose B21 because of the longer, level driveway, adjoining grassy area (for cornhole and Starlink!) and terrific view of the tower. The weather was spectacular, bugs were manageable, and hiking near the campground and around the monument was fantastic. Depending on the time of year, I highly recommend walking the tower loop in early evening after the visitor center closes. The “magic hour” light on the monument was beautiful, trails were relatively uncrowded, and we saw several groups of rock climbers descending from their day on the tower.
It is so peaceful and relaxing at this campground that I feel compelled to apologize for noise to anyone who may have been camping around us for the past couple days. We ran our generator for a few hours each mid-day because I had work to do and had to power up our Starlink. Then last night we watched “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” on an iPad in our trailer. We didn’t use the genny, but we did forget to close our windows and may have subjected the tenters across the road to more of the soundtrack than they wanted. Hopefully it was at least evocative, right here in the shadow of the film’s major landmark…
No showers or dump station, but the dishwashing room in the toilet facilities does help conserve water.

We rolled in on Friday around lunchtime and had many sites to choose from. We were extremely happy with the one we picked because it was right next to the trail and we had a view of Devils Tower from our campfire.
Throughout the weekend, it did not seem like the campground was completely full at any time.
Verizon service was a bit spotty. Especially midday on the weekend when many people were visiting for the day. Off peak times you’ll be able to do emails and browsing without issue, but may have trouble with calls and streaming. No AT&T coverage.
If you need a dump station, the KOA will not let you use it unless you are a guest. Generators are allowed at certain hours. There are water spigots on site if you need to fill up a water jug.

Every site from Utah, to Idaho and Montana there has been Hwy noise and trains that run all night as most campgrounds are right off the freeway and rail lines also follow these routes…. Total silence last night here at Devil’s Tower. Just song birds this morning. I got a big 35’ 5th wheel and it’s a bit tricky maneuvering around, but it’s doable.

What a great campground. We've been planning our trip for months and had hoped to be able to stay right at the National Monument. We arrive about 1:30 pm on Wednesday and the CG was less than 1/2 full so we had our pick of sites. A12 gave us a great view of the tower and was quite private.
The CG filled up by around 8:00 pm but was nearly emptied out by 11:00 am. The camp host told us that a lot of people use this as a stopover to other locations (Yellowstone or the Black Hills).
The grounds were well maintained and the bathrooms clean. There are no utilities at the sites so boondocking is a must.
