If you are self contained this park will suit your needs for an overnight, if you own a tear drop or do not have the facilities plan accordingly. For $15 I can see it being worth it to those with a restroom, shower, etc. Myself however I would rather find a decent spot in the woods and use a shovel than take a chance at a very severe case of permanent regret. First order of business in the morning will be finding a restroom that didn’t have a homeless man sleeping in it.

“Now you pay the $15 at City Hall in town and a park employee will unlock the electric box.”

You will receive a card for the windshield to show you have paid. Too bad people abused the honor system. Great little spot for a quiet night in a place where RV parks aren’t that plentiful. Thank you city of Ballinger.
Our GPS got confused trying to guide us here but it finally reset. That is why I gave 3 stars for access.

Stumbled into this on our way to a place further up. Was a little confusing to figure out where we were supposed to go and where we were supposed to pay. There is water/sewer hookups. Did not see if there was a dump station but we did not look either. It was a very peaceful place. There is a section as you enter the park that is up on the left hand side, and another larger space with unmarked spots down at the end of the road. The pay station is at the head of the first section as you turn into the left and up a steep little driveway. There was one other RV in our section and three in the one down below. I'm guessing there are more folk coming through during the summer.
It is a very pretty park providing lots of services to the locals. There is a local swimming pool (closed at the moment due to COVID), lots of picnicking spots, volleyball net and basketball court. There is fishing in Elm Creek which runs right alongside the park. If we are in the area we will surely stay here again.

This is a city park on Elm Creek. Nice amenities including a pool. Great fishing/kayak spot on Creek. Nothing fancy, as others have said if it's been raining, choose your spot carefully. There is a campground attendant, so ask them where to park if you're having problems. Ballinger is a nice little town, good grocery store with Deli and a tiny Walmart for supplies. Lots of local folks make use of this park, so don't be surprised at children.

We camped here in a class b camper van. No restrooms or showers. Water and electric at each site. Dump station in the city park. It was dry during our stay so no issues with mud or getting in or out. I could see how it might get tricky if it was very wet. Happy Trails, WanderingWakes.Net

It’s too muddy to try to get in to here and take a chance of getting stuck. A light weight van with 4WD would be fine. My jeep has no problem here. But the mud is too soft to get a motorhome in here without the possibility of getting stuck. It probably wouldn’t get stuck. We got stuck. We tried to pull us out with two jeeps but did not work. It looks hard on top but definitely not underneath. Right now are waiting for a tow truck. I would never come here again. After the tow truck we left and went to Walmart.
