Descent enough park as I’m there to see and hike badlands. Used the laundry room with no issues. Castle trail and medicine root make for a nice hike ( eight miles combined ). Great time of year to experience badlands.

AMENITIES: Sites had full hook up, partial hook ups and basic tent sites. Full hook up was $35 a night, but they also offered a cheaper weekly rate and Good Sam/Passport America discount. (Dump station was an additional fee if you were not camping there and just needed to dump or fill). There was a laundry facility and bathhouse. We didn't use the bathhouse, but the laundry worked great. We were able to do several full loads.
CELL SERVICE/INTERNET: We worked the entire week with no issues. We did have 4 bars of LTE on our Verizon phone and we were able to stream tv no problem using a T-Mobile Peplink router and booster. There was campground wifi, the signal was the strongest the closest you were to the bathroom/office. I didn't use it to work, it was really slow. But I'm sure it's good enough to get some work done/check emails if needed.
PROS: Literally sitting outside of the Badlands entrance gate. It was about 1.5 miles to the gate and the campground backs right up to beautiful views. Cedar Pass Campground is inside of Badlands and we were debating on that one or Badlands Interior Campground and we decided to stay here instead. And I am glad we did because they were one of the few places that had full hook ups year round (it snowed while we were there). Cedar Pass Campground was electric only, I believe, and for the price difference and the full hook ups, you really didn't have to sacrifice view or location. It was big rig friendly. Saw plenty of class As and big 5th wheels. Accommodated our 36 ft. 5th wheel with ease.
CONS: As others stated, it was somewhat "dumpy" but I think for the price, view, location and amenities, it was all around worth it. Sites were pretty close together. There's literally nothing around, make sure you go to the grocery store before you arrive!

If not for the location I would not recommend this campground. Very tight, lots of run down structures, and a bit gruff at the front desk.
Having full hookups at this location was great though. Practically in the park.

Private CG that has some trees . Bathroom ok . Good wifi in office area . Good view of Badlands. Staff helpful. Flat sites . There are not a lot of CG in area so this worked well for us . Close to Badlands NP visitors center with close by hiking . Typical private CG open sites that are fairly close together.

Our site RV16 was set up goofy. Our electric (shared post with site RV15) was on one side and the water (shared spigot with RV23) was on the other side of the site. The way we had to pull in to make our hookups reach left the water spigot directly in front of our door...like watch out for it when we walked down our steps in front of our door. This also meant we shared the same small grass patch as the other camper on site 23.
The swimming pool on their map was also in the process of being torn out and filled in.
WiFi worked pretty well.
Worked for the 2 days we were there to see Badlands NP, but certainly unconventional setup.

We stayed 2 nights 34ft Bounder + Jeep, 50 amp electric and water only. We were on an end spot so the view was perfect. sites are tight together but manageable, could use another 5ft of separation. Camp WiFi was weak even when boosted about 2 MBps. Verizon signal was week, used a directional window antenna to the east on the jetpack and got 10-15 MBps. we both worked a full day and I had a video conference call that went great. Zero TV stations. Didn't use the facilities. Staff was friendly and helpful. Went to Badlands Grocery to find dog food. Found it, store had what you needed in a pinch, stocked but limited.
Sunrise and sunset were perfection.

WiFi was great for working during the day. Great for star gazing at night. Sites were a little close. Came with fire pit and picnic table. Gave it three stars for noise mostly because we were close enough to the neighbors to hear their air conditioner non stop.
