Bathrooms very dated and not especially clean. We were in site 11 and the distance between the water hookup and sewer was at least 30’ making it impossible to flush the RV tank unless you had a VERY long slinky and/or sewer water hose.
Convenient location right off of 240 loop.

Plenty of pull through sites, close together with picnic tables and small fire rings. A few trees here and there. Extremely dated bathhouse with two showers. Very poor wifi at campsite. Poorly stocked camp store. Didn’t even carry camping basics like small propane tanks. No laundry. Drove 4 miles to sister KOA campground with a ... more

Poorly stocked camp store. Didn’t even carry camping basics like small propane tanks. No laundry. Drove 4 miles to sister KOA campground with a very nice laundry, pool, lots of shade and huge bathhouse. No views, but would consider staying there next time.

Plenty of pull through sites with dilapidated picnic tables and small fire pits. Campground and facilities are in dire need of updating. Looking at the reviews, I was somewhat disappointed in the amenities. Pool was 62 degrees and right out by the highway. Not many trees with very close pull through sites. We had barking dogs on both sides and one tore the window blind to shreds while disrupting our outdoor time. Two very small, dirty and dated showers. Poorly stocked convenience store. Didn’t even carry camping basics like small propane tanks. The gas station next door was better stocked, but limited as well. WiFi in the campsite was horrible. No laundry. Had to drive 4 miles to their sister KOA campground to do an emergency wash. Although no views, the KOA had great showers, laundry, playground, pool and plenty of shade. Would try the KOA next time.

They Have A Store Just In Case You Forgot Something. Breakfast Is Served Every Morning For An Extra Cost. The Only Downside Was That The Pool Was Broken For The Week That We Were There.

This was our base for two nights exploring Badlands NP. Nearby to visitor center. All facilities worked and were clean. If you want a view get a spot on the end away from the office. Would stay again.

No trees or shade but that is where you are when visiting the Badlands. Clean, quiet, helpful and friendly. nothing to add to the currently posted photos. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises.

Stayed 3 nights and was very happy with our stay. They do have a basic breakfast until 10 a.m. Nothing fancy but very clean. The staff is very accommodating.

The staff was wonderful. We had planned on staying at the park for a few days and then move on to Nomad View for some boondocking on the rim. The staff was wonderful. We had planned on staying at the park for a few days and then move on to Nomad View for some boondocking on the rim. However, temps were in the hundreds and we decided some electricity would be invaluable. They were very accommodating, as we stayed an extra 10 days. They had to move us a couple of times to fit into the reservations that were already made for spots we were in. No big deal, as we were on “no sewer” sites and had to close up to dump anyway. The sites are nice and long. A good space between rigs. Fire rings and good picnic tables. There are fantastic clean, private shower/bathrooms. Use the ones in the metal bldgs. They are the new ones. The sunrises and sunsets were awesome. They make hot breakfasts in the office/cafe. Nice walking trail and beautiful view of the badlands. Couldn’t be any handier to Badlands National Park and the Minutemen. Prices were reasonable as well. There was a bar/grill in town that had good bar style food. This park isn’t fancy, but it couldn’t be in a better spot. If you are in an RV and have family that wants to join, they have a bunch of hotel rooms as well. We didn’t see the inside of them. They were always busy though.
