We have a 30ft travel trailer and most of the other spots would’ve worked for us. The road is in decent shape. This loop specifically is pretty rutted out and narrow at the beginning - I’d recommend going in the exit.

There are several things that have been changed about this area. First, it has been expanded to 8 sites by splitting some of the existing sites. Yes that means you are closer to your neighbor but there is still plenty of room. Second, the allowable time to stay depends on the season. After Labor Day you are allowed to stay 14 days like before. During peak times your stay is limited to 5 days. There is a clean vault toilet in the nearby loop for sites 1-8.
The road getting in was mostly in good shape with only a few larger pot holes that for the most part could easily be missed. Access to the Teton Park could not have been better with entry to the Moose entrance just a couple of miles away. Jackson Hole is also only a 20 minute drive. The only negative was the dog waste that was left in the area by a previous camper. Please clean up after yourself AND your pets!
As for cell service, we use an Insty-Connect with a directional antenna and had 10 - 15 mb/s speeds consistently with T-Mobile. Verizon was slower and somewhat spotty. AT&T was similar to T-Mobile. We also have Starlink which worked well but not as fast as some other locations. This may be due to the number of users in the area.

We wanted to check out Grand Teton on the way down from Yellowstone. This dispersed camping site was awesome. We were able to get a spot (arrived early), setup, had a great sunset and sunrise view of the Grand Teton, drove around the park the next day (super close), and then we visited Jackson as well.
The camp hosts were nice, kept the place clean, and even delivered stickers and books for the kids. I wouldn't recommend going up Shadow Mountain road. A well equipped truck+trailer can get the job done and go up the hill, but you can easily get frustrated and discouraged along the way up. I ended finding our spot down below, and then I took the kids on a 2 mile walk up the hill to explore lots of heels and camper vans head up that way. I saw a 30ft+ fifth wheel up there too.
I stayed on the flat road that gets you to Antelope Springs site 1-8 or this site 11-15. There is a small tent loop in between the RV loops. The RV loop for sites 1-8 has a recently installed new vault toilet.
Overall, super awesome place.
Cell coverage was really spotty at times. The Teton Village seemed to have the cell towers. If you have visibility to the Teton Village mountain and tower, you should be good. My ATT service would go in and out depending on where I was i camp. However, I also have Verizon service and I use a Weboost. I was able to point my weboost to Teton Village and pick up enough service to get cell that we needed.
