Quiet campground next to lake. Level, spacious site. Lots of wildlife. Host were very welcoming. Only bad thing - no hot water in shower house.

I know it is Texas, but my goodness! Battled them with Zevo and that helped, but they were just everywhere and invaded the camper nightly. Just want folks to be aware and ready for it! The showers are quite old and full of bugs/webs/egg sacks/spiders, but they were air conditioned which was nice. A little time with a broom to sweep out the webs and nests would make them a little better. They had grounds keepers there during our stay. All sites were mowed and clean. They only downside would be the unbelievable amount of fire ants.

Great site for our one-night stop in NE Texas. We arrived on a Monday night so the campground was sparsely populated but the sites are spaced well enough to be comfortable even at capacity. Site E224 was an easy back-in waterfront site with water and electric. The friendly camp hosts stopped by to check that the site and fire ring were clean and we could see them working around the campground the next day, keeping everything pristine. We didn’t check the restrooms as we use our own facilities. Verizon cell service showed 3 bars without a booster. $16 rate based on NPS senior pass discount.

We have been enjoying our time here at Alley Creek Campground. Our site looks out over the lake and we are in the shade of pine trees. It is midweek, so it's nice and quiet, and very clean. There have been a few boats on the lake, but they are not bothersome or noisy. The campsites are level and include water and electric. Dump station is elsewhere in the park. I did use the showers because we are trying to save gray tank space. The bathrooms were good enough, and the showers are free, but you will want to take shower shoes. Although it was apparent that they had recently been cleaned, there were plenty of bugs in there with me. : / But hey, we are camping, in Texas, that is to be expected.
I would definitely come bak here again.
