So ended up on a back road that I guess was just for hunters, but I didn't know that. A huge pond was in the road, so I had to back out and got super stuck. Luckily some hunters helped me out as there was no service. Didn't even stay. Got stuck in a ditch on the way to leave because I had to stop to put my satellite away. It was a rough night to say the least.

We loved our spot here. Very quiet and hardly anyone else there during our 2 week stay. It's a short drive on a somewhat bumpy gravel road but nothing our 31' Class-C RV couldn't handle. Just take it slow. There are several smaller sites best suited for tents or small vehicles but also some larger sites. We choose the one up front as it was the most open and easiest to get to for us.
We stayed the first two weeks of January and there were some hunters coming through in their trucks to access the road at the back of the campground but we were not bothered by them.
Our internet worked just fine here. We do have a booster so that helped (AT&T). They have bear proof trash bins and for the first week there were port o potties. (They picked them up and did not bring replacements during our stay). We have a bathroom on board and did not need to use them.
This spot is nice - only 20 minutes to Ocean Pond where you can kayak, dump your tanks, and fill your water. ($5 dump fee).
Approximately 30 minutes from two decent sized towns with everything you need.
Although this campground is right off a highway, it is not a heavily traveled one, so occasional noise from the road but not a steady flow of traffic. Makes getting to this site very easy as it's paved until turning onto the short gravel road to camping.

This is a great little escape in northern Florida! We stayed for 2 nights while passing through. We stayed in our camper-van pulling a 12ft trailer (all together we are apx 25ft in length). This is your basic national forest camping. No electric or water. Despite the USFS site saying the restrooms were closed, there were two porta potty’s at the front with TP (TP was running low though so definitely bring some just in case). I also thought this was a pack-out location, but they had two small bear-proof trash boxes on the property. One by the restrooms/info board, and another on the left side of the campground.
The campground isn’t far from the main road. Gravel/sand road to come in. It was muddy and there were a few large potholes in the road but not bad. There were numerous sites “tucked” away at this location. A few pull through sites for larger rigs like us, but also lots of smaller spots that would be great for tents. The sites are sorta close together but because of the foliage most are almost “hidden”. There was about 6 other campers around when we were there, mostly vans/car campers. There is a small shallow pond behind, didn’t have any luck catching anything.
This is designed as a hunting camp. The surrounding area is used for hunting during legal seasons. There are signs to mark where the recreation area is so there is no hunting within the campground. While we were there we did hear gunshots, dogs baying/barking and were greeted by a trio of hunting dogs passing through (so defiantly keep your dogs leashed at all times). There owner came by in a truck not too long after. There is some people that pass through the camp to get to the ATV trails at the back side of the campground.
We stayed at the very beginning of January and it was COLD. So be prepared. I think it got down below 40 degrees F and barely got warmer than 60. I could see my breath when wearing my headlamp. Lots of trees here so not the best for solar, but depending on your spot you may have better luck.
Great stargazing looking through the pines. We didn’t leave the campground while we were there so can’t say much for what else there is to do around.
While driving on the main road to get in we were greeted by some locals having a drag race.... Not sure how common that is here but if you hear a lot of engine noise good chance that’s what’s going on. 14 Day Max stay allowed.

Coming in was a little bumpy, dirt roads and pot holes, it had rained a good amount the day before, so, the sites were somewhat muddy, but, I managed to stay dry, didn't see any one with campers other than mine, a few tents at the start. I came prepared, water, food, generator. Im more of a loner so I had a nice relaxing time.

Over all it was a gorgeous area to camp with a pond in the back of it(I wouldn't try to fish it tho). Cell service is very spotty for me(AT&T) and my friend who uses Verizon had no service. The park that the campground was in wasnt very intresting so we adventure out of it both days we were there. But overall was a very nice experience.
