Don’t waste you time driving here. As of 1/2/21 the campsite is closed off. There is a dump station that you can access for $5 but the drive is long and not worth it to me.

The sites in the electric loop are the least private and the closest together. Many sites in all areas have a partial view of the lake. There is a swimming beach and a small playground as well as picnic pavilion in the middle of the “water only” area. There are 2 bathhouses: on in the electric loop and one in the water neighborhood. The primitive area had a restroom only.
It was extremely quiet after dark...even on New Years Eve! During the day there were a large number of barking dogs. By evening the campground was full.
Would stay again if in the area because of the quiet, good cell service, and low prices.

Appreciated the convenient washer and dryer (credit card operated) and the large shower stalls available. Nice paved roads for biking. Hiking trails go through the park (bring boots as it’s swampy!) Bug spray a must— cannot imagine what mosquitoes must be like in spring and summer! All kinds of folks camp here. There’s 3 sections for 3 types of camping (electric/water/dry). Nice dump station. Several dumpsters also. Cell service for both Verizon and t-mobile was fantastic at all times, making work easy peazy.
By the time we left, all sites were full. Can’t beat the price, especially wit America the Beautiful discount.

They both wanted to tell me that there was only one open electric spot and I was incredibly lucky to get it. OK, let me temper that a little by saying that there were several primitive spots that were still available, but they were taken pretty quickly.
There is a good reason that people try so hard to get a spot. Beautiful location, peaceful, large sites, 50 amp electric with water (if you can get it) at an incredible price (see pic of rate sign). I believe the main reason it’s so hard to get in is that the stay limit is a whopping 30 days! Many of the people I met had been there for weeks.

Nice and quiet place by the lake. Very spacious spots within the forest. The access is very good and the services acceptable and clean.
Good starting point for excursions and enjoy the lake with kids.

Nobody at the gate, just grab an envelope and fill it out when you get to your site.
People seem to be out and about and friendly but sites are spread out so you don't feel like you have no privacy.
The cellular signal is stellar!!

We stayed here at the end of November the weather was beautiful and the amenities Were great. The park is divided into three sections. There are about 12 sites that are electric and water hook up. These were $12 using the senior pass. These were located on ocean pond and were nicely spaced so it felt like plenty of privacy. To the left there were water hook up only sites. Again these were nicely spaced and plenty of solar opportunities. If you continue up the driveway there were primitive sites set among gorgeous Palms. Very shaded area so solar opportunities would be difficult. The primitive area is not really designed for larger rigs Other than the first couple of sites. The campground has beautiful hot showers and a very efficient laundry with just one washer and dryer. These are payable with a credit card which we found very helpful. Overall this was a wonderful campground for the price. Five star rating

This is used a lot by locals and is very hard to get into as they seem to hold sites for each other. Nice rest rooms and showers keep clean by volunteers, however management doesn't keep up on maintence - things broke 3 years ago are still broke. Rate is senior pass rate.

Couldn’t get far enough to pick a spot. While driving through Ocean Pond campground to see if our rig (left at home 1 hour away) could fit in any of the sites that are open of their 50% capacity. We were told (actually yelling at) by a man on a golf cart saying if we don’t have camping gear we must leave immediately. We were literally driving through for 3 mins to write down spots we could fit in for future plans. We will not come back. Not sure if he was a campground host or a campground worker. Either way this does not seem like a friendly place welcoming campers back to have some relaxation.
