Really love this spot. The only reason I left early I did stay an extra day or two is because the winds were picking up for two days straight and in the area there’s a quite a few down large limbs, so we wanted to avoid the widowmakers, but this was an amazing spot. I slept well, not a soul around I think maybe across the lake someone was having a campfire, but otherwise not a soul in sight. This is definitely going to be added to my list to come back to her where I stayed was when you come to a T in the road take a left and it’ll be on your right if you have a travel, trailer or towing, anything advise, going past a little dirt road and onto the white cement/dirt road because there’s quite a divot if you go to the first row if you’re just a camper an the first turn is perfect for you
There was a fire ring and garbage cans on site at Sally too windy to have a fire. They had red flag warnings up for two days, but all I know this is definitely a place to return.
And for the cell service for Verizon was a flashing bar once in a while but I turn my Weboost on and I had three bars

About 30 miles off of the highway but easy to access. Several spots around the quiet lake. Don't plan to get in the lake. It is dusty at the site but totally fine and very clean. There were no usable bathrooms. We did not have Verizon cell service. We lived through a wind storm, that my wife and I would be happy to not experience again.

We ended up not staying at this location but would have probably if we found a spot. We opted to leave after coming to a bridge with a 4 ton weight limit. We have a Ram truck and a 24ft TT and didn’t want to risk it. We had to back up one the windy road quite a bit ways to get to a spot to turn around. So if you are in a big rig beware of you are in a heavier rig if you turn left after entering into the lake. There are a couple big camp sites and after that second one you won’t be able to turn around before the bridge. There were also a fair amount of flies on that side of the lake but it got better as we went further around. Would try staying here again if we had found a spot

I will probably hop around sites tomorrow to see if I can find better cell service; it's the only detraction I have for this park.

We like to take 2-lane roads on our adventures and US Highway 24 passes about one mile South of the lake. It is about a two mile drive around the lake with many areas suitable to park a motorhome or trailer. Several tent campers were also there the weekend we arrived. Lots of fishermen and several boats were on the lake. There is a "Pony" Bridge on the road at the West side of the lake which has a 10-ton limit and sharp curves on the approach, so bigger units should go East across the dam.
The nearby town of Morland has a great little store, "the Morland Mercantile," for groceries, beer and live bait. They have lots of Kansas-made products, including locally raised beef and pork, cheeses, honey, flavored bread mixes, frozen cookie dough and more. It has an old-time atmosphere with wooden floors and a pressed tin ceiling, which I was told are over 100 years old. The store is open Monday through Friday from 9 am - 6 pm and Saturday from 9 am - 2 pm. The manager also prepares hot lunches Monday though Friday, with a table available inside or out, and take-out containers if you want to go back to the lake to eat. They also slice deli meat and cheese to order and prepare fresh sandwiches.
This is a great stop not too far off the beaten path! The Morland City Park also has a free dump station and a water hydrant available.

If you’re into fishing, chilling, and biking around the lake I’d stay 2 nights.
We just passed thru. FYI there were millions of bugs surrounding our headlights pulling in so we didn’t go outside at night.

I was only here overnight on a Thursday so it may be different on the weekends. I barely hada 3G connection
The lake is 30 miles north of I-70 so it is a little out of the way.

We enjoyed lots of birds and bullfrogs and no other campers in sight. We didn’t count carefully, but there were probably 20 different sites of various size, tree cover, and proximity to the water. Most sites were mowed and had fire pits and garbage collection bins. We did pick up some trash left at the site previously.
