Los Pinos RV Park

Not sure why others are complaining about this park. It’s basic, but there’s working electric, water and sewer and no road noise at night. Clean and very nice vista views and a strong 5G signal for streaming a movie then watching stars before bed. The longtime owner is very accommodating and her friend managing the place is a native to the area. My only problem: I forgot my level blocks, but that’s OK for my one night here. You’ll need them on the gravel here but you should be carrying them anyway, right?

It did the job. We needed a place just for a few days and this did the job okay. WiFi was okay, nothing great. Full hookup, didn’t use any amenities so we can’t comment on what they even had or the quality of them. The manager was a very nice lady, she also gave us a Good Sam discount, no hassle and very laid back on us needing to possibly extend our stay. No road noise, very quiet, no obnoxious neighbors and there were some obvious full-timers. (We will note, however, that the only theft we’ve ever experienced during our RV life so far was at this park… all of our valve stem caps.) We will second that previous reviewers have mentioned about the uneven sites (it rained heavily while we were there and I was actually a bit nervous of us slipping as our site was already at much of a tilt to begin with) and the goat heads (twice I had to pull one out of our pup’s paws.

Side note, we stayed at 19 Los Piños and initially pulled in to the wrong RV park… There are a few right there back to back and it had a small sign tucked way back off the road. So be sure you’re going in to the correct place. Lol!

The owner, Sylvia, is super friendly and accommodating. She is working hard to try and fix up the RV park
Close to the main highway without any highway noise
Sunset views are phenomenal
One of the cheapest parks in the area
Long term renters are quiet and kind
Across the street from a drive in movie theatre
Cons:
The site was nowhere near level.
Zero amenities. No bathroom, no shower, no laundry
Oh dear god so many goat head prickles. Ruined a pair of shoes because I couldnt get all the spines out, and my cat refused to go on walks because she was constantly getting them stuck in her paws
The dumpster is all the way on the other end of the park, it’s quite a walk

Shelia the manager was very nice and accommodating. The park was mostly long term residents. Not trashy just different feel. The site was pretty unlevel and tight. It was easy to get to from the highway and is just south of Santa Fe. The price was why we stayed here. Most places in Santa Fe are way over priced for no amenities anyway. This park does give you a great view of the famous high desert sunsets. I would stay here again if their price stays cheaper than everywhere ride.
