Pleasant camp experience. A quick stop with water and electric. Pulled in past the white building which was the restrooms for the place. (we didn't use). 5 campers there already we arrived about 7pm. Would camp there again if passing through. Enjoy

Very nice spot. Remote, and well maintained with many different kinds of birds around. I found the campsites and pay station pretty easily. The pay station is between the 2nd and 3rd shelter on the right next to a tree with clear instructions. The bathrooms were clean with warm showers. Very nice spot. Remote, and well maintained with many different kinds of birds around. I found the campsites and pay station pretty easily. The pay station is between the 2nd and 3rd shelter on the right next to a tree with clear instructions. The bathrooms were clean with warm showers. The shower has a metal push button thing which I've never seen before to turn on and off. Just push firmly. There was only one other person here when I arrived. I would return.

Okay, after reading the reviews I was a little confused. I got in touch with the clerk of courts. She told me the membership is for fishing. If you keep going past the trails that go down to the lake you will find the campground. If you keep going past the trails that go down to the lake you will find the campground. I've posted pictures with the map location of where you can park, the spot to pay with an envelope, and the entrance to the camping area.
Nice flat grass lots, dumpsters, grills, picnic benches under shelters. The water and electric are about 20 feet from the back of your rig, so if you have short cables and hoses be warned.

A previous reviewer notes that there are signs at the park indicating members only. We took that to mean the fishing lake based on the way that the signs were posted. A previous reviewer notes that there are signs at the park indicating members only. We took that to mean the fishing lake based on the way that the signs were posted. So we went ahead and got a site - level, with a picnic shelter and power and water. Awesome!
Later I dug a little deeper into the county website and found the 2019 resolution making the county park members only (and at prices that seem out of reach for most in a small agricultural town). During our stay, the Sheriff drove by and waved. Not a word about membership on the county's web page for the park: https://www.kearnycountykansas.com/beymer-park/
Curious about what was really going on I called the city the next day, asked about camping, told them I was visiting, asked about any special rules. Not a word about "membership". So the mystery remains.
This was a clean, quiet park with well spaced sites, a playground, small lake and is convenient to the town of Laykin. This would be our pick if traveling across Kansas again.

Nobody mentioned the signs that say you must have a membership and call a number to check in. If you arrive after 5 they will not answer and you won’t be able to check in. Nobody mentioned the signs that say you must have a membership and call a number to check in. If you arrive after 5 they will not answer and you won’t be able to check in. It was late at night and I needed somewhere to stop. I assumed this was a small campground where you put money in a box. At night it is pitch black and almost impossible to find where the RV spots are, I could have managed that but all the intimidating signs that say membership only aren’t very welcoming. I left and stayed at a truck stop down the street.

Cheap access to electric and water. Nice sites, quiet, level, with covered picnic tables. No fire ring. The shower and bathroom are less than impressive but work in a pinch

They had 30 amp, water and covered (shared) picnic tables. We did not back into a spot. We just treated it like a pull through. It was quiet, level grass spots. Oh and it was open!!

Very Nice county park. Looks like lots of free dry camping that I didn't explore. Water, 15 amp and 30 amp hookups for $10. Each site also has covered picnic tables. I saw trash cans and dumpsters scattered throughout the dry camping and fee area. Bath house looked clean, but the showers weren't hooked up. I didn't have any troubles wi... more
Very Nice county park. Looks like lots of free dry camping that I didn't explore. Water, 15 amp and 30 amp hookups for $10. Each site also has covered picnic tables. I saw trash cans and dumpsters scattered throughout the dry camping and fee area. Bath house looked clean, but the showers weren't hooked up. I didn't have any troubles with the electric, it ran my a.c.. Some trees, but not enough to block the Kansas wind if it decides to blow.Fee area is south of bath house. Very easy to get to from both hiways.

Nothing to write home about, but good for an overnight.
All sites are on grass and share a covered shelter with the site next to it. Not really a problem because no one was here.
$10 for water and electric. No dump on site.

We had about 10 days to kill between our art shows in Oklahoma and Colorado and thought we do a little exploring and see how inexpensively we could camp along the way. We found one city park here in Kansas with free hook ups for 2 nights. We needed electricity to have air-conditioning ... it’s too hot and humid. Yesterday we found this place would $10 hook ups and covered tables. We ended up staying for three nights and enjoyed it very much… The weather has cooled a bit so air-conditioning isn’t that much of an issue but it’s nice to have the electricity anyway. We had a nice grilled dinner on our covered table then enjoyed the cool evening breeze. This place is right off the road and it’s nothing fancy but it’s all you will need for a couple of days… There’s not much to do but we’re working so office work, laundry and, general housework in the RV take place when we have downtime. There were two other trailers in the small campground but we never saw a soul. This little park is maintained well with nice level grassy areas to back up into. It was nice to have quiet private campsites for a couple of nights… We have dogs so we like it best when there are no other people around… And so to the dogs!! 🐶🐶
