Overall Rating
We had a wonderful time here. We stayed late June and the weather was on the warm side but not overwhelmingly so. The sites were nice and spread out so we weren't on top of other people and had plenty of space to ourselves. We enjoyed just sitting and watching the squirrels and birds about their business. At dawn and dusk deer visited through the site and there were even some free range cows that moseyed through. There's a nice little walkway down to the creek and the lake where there were more day use people. We visited there over six months ago but I recall there was intermittent cell phone service at our site but nothing particularly reliable. There's not much in the way of facilities nearby if you need to pick anything up, but there was a restaurant in the "town" just outside the rec area and it was about 20 minutes back to the nearest gas station. We missed an exit and found ourselves at the Mountain Meadows Massacre Site, which was an interesting monument to a massacre committed in 1857.
