Our Site 15 Was Fairly Level And The WIFI Was Very Strong! Yea!! Not Especially Scenic And too close to other campers for our liking.

Not sure how this campground rates an average of four stars. We arrived in mid afternoon to an empty office. We parked ourselves with no problem in our reserved site. First, the good: 1. Not sure how this campground rates an average of four stars. We arrived in mid afternoon to an empty office. We parked ourselves with no problem in our reserved site.
First, the good: 1. Conveniently located off I-26. 2. Clean, functional bath house with good water pressure and hot water.
The bad: 1. The roadways around the campground are decrepit. In spots, they are deeply rutted from poor drainage and the resulting runoff. See pics. 2. Our site was very unlevel front to back, resulting in about a 5 inch differential in the front. 3. Our site was occupied by an inexplicable pile of trash just outside our door. See pics. 4. Our site also contained a free-floating section of wooden decking, ostensibly for our comfort and enjoyment. However, this item was nothing more than a warped and weathered trip hazard. Truly dangerous. 5. The campground generally appears worn and rundown. There are several structures on the property in need of repair or removal. These structures, an A-frame cottage near the lake and the bridge that is part of a walkway over the lake are considerable hazards.
We will find an alternative in the future.

We would stay here again if we were in the area..... but, ... You do Not want to arrive in the dark, roads are twisty and Not all sites are level! We were in site 32. We would stay here again if we were in the area..... but, ... You do Not want to arrive in the dark, roads are twisty and Not all sites are level! We were in site 32. It was an "almost" level pull thru.
When we arrived construction vehicles were in our site... * I called the phone # , left a message , yet never received a return call. We talked to the workers... they unplugged from our power, and moved vehicles far enough away for us to finally hook up . We used a couple of 'legos' to level. A new Bath house is being built right by site 32. Currently they have a fairly nice rentable trailer that has 3 shower/bathroom combos. We did not use the showers but they looked fine. There is a laundry house , we did not use, appeared to have 2 or 3 sets of washers and dryers. We did not hook up to water or sewer.... but it was available. The 30 amp power was steady. Lots of residents , but very quiet ! There is a rock fire pit but the area around it is not all that level.

We were visiting grand babies and stayed here instead of invading the family home. This place was perfect. A nice playground to bring the girls, a pond, laundry, pretty much everything you need. Very quiet. If the camp host isn’t there, they have your name on the board of the office with your site number and the WiFi. The WiFi was good... more
We were visiting grand babies and stayed here instead of invading the family home. This place was perfect. A nice playground to bring the girls, a pond, laundry, pretty much everything you need. Very quiet. If the camp host isn’t there, they have your name on the board of the office with your site number and the WiFi. The WiFi was good enough to watch Internet TV and Hulu or Netflix. Very quiet, safe and clean.

This is a good place to stay. Our site was level and the staff was very friendly. Great location off of I-26 and there are stores and places to eat nearby. It appears to be very tight to get a big rig through there but they had some big rigs in there so it was deceiving.

We called ahead and was accepted to stay overnight. Loved the quiet and privacy of our site. Bathrooms were okay. However, when I took a shower a pungent odor came from the drain and I almost couldn’t get my clothes on quick enough to leave! Ugh. Otherwise lovely people there but could use some updates. Thanks for the stay we enjoyed i... more
