When we pulled into the campground, after a very long drive in, we filled with water. When we got to our campsite, the firepit was filled with liter. There were some freshly cut trees, so we figured the workers had left their water bottles etc. We cleaned out the trash. It was so hot and something was wrong with our generator, as it couldn't keep up to keep the camper cool. We stayed the night, cancelled the rest of our reservation (3 more days) We moved on, only to find our ankles bit up by no see ums! Ouch!

Thought this would be a quiet campground... it was, until the equestrian campers arrived! Arrived here on July 1, had a good first week, then! The horse campers arrived. They hooked up to water like it was for them alone and they ran their generators 24/7 even though quiet hours are from 10pm to 6am. Ranger said they have contemplated shutting campsite down due to lack of staff to care for it. Maybe they should as this is what happens when there is no oversight for the campground.
