There were only two other campers that we could see from our location - and they must be close to a mile away. We’re here on a Friday night and 3 cars came joy-riding past us ( we’re close to main road) - not sure if this is normal
We drove past a pit toilet on the way in, and there appears to be another at the far end of the reservoir

Note: 20 miles off I 80. Good dirt road. No one else out here tonight except the cows. Full bars for cell service. There is water in the reservoir. Lots of room for big rigs, we are a 41ft 5 ER.

This is a perfect spot for avoiding the crowds while still enjoying beautiful scenery. It’s about 10 miles off the highway on a decent dirt road. We came in with our 31’ class A pulling a 12’ box trailer. We took it slowly and had no problems. The “sites” aren’t exactly well-defined but there are a few stone fire rings The reservoir has receded drastically so if you want to camp near the water, you’ll have to go at least 6 miles from the highway; it’s about 10 miles to the end. If you take dogs and/or children, watch out for the huge burrs (they resemble a spiky pine cone). The Verizon service is fairly good. We always had at least 2 bars on LTE, sometimes 3.

One night stop over on way to Tetons and Yellowstone. Gassed and loaded up on food in Evanston and stopped here for a night on Memorial Day weekend. Vast area. Only 5-6 campers well dispersed. Probably 1:4 between each or more. Open land, no trees. Good gravel road to get to reservoir. You can stop anywhere that’s flat and off the road.

It didn’t bother us any. There’s plenty of space. The wind however is something else. We couldn’t go outside to enjoy the beauty. It looks like it would be a great place for pronghorn but there’s too many 4wheelers. Only see 2 other camps within sight of ours. Staying here on our way to Tetons.

The road in is gravel and of high quality, I was in a sedan, but would have felt comfy with my class A RV. There are two other pull off camping spots before this one along the east edge of the lake/reservoir. Saw pronghorn deer and jackrabbit. The site I stayed at, north end of the lake, had a pit toilet setup. The whole place was generally clean, had a few past fire rings. Low brush, nearly level ground sloping down to the waters edge. I was the only one there. It was a friday night. Good temps. At midnight there was a crazy truck making a racket, though as soon as it saw my car/tent, it slowed down and left the area. In the morning, 4am, hunters were ingressing with trucks, not a problem. The stars..... oh my goodness, were amazing. Limited Google Fi service, showed up as a solid H+.

Stayed here in our van for a night travelling between Yellowstone and Utah. Nice spot by the reservoir with toilets. Some hunters in the morning but otherwise quiet.
