This park was our base to visit the Caverns. Check in was friendly and using a satellite photo we were directed back off of the main road to overflow site 01. A narrow macadam pad at the end of a row, easy enough to level, full hook ups and a nice view. Can't review the facilities, we don't use them. Repeated banging (drilling?) noises from the valley below were noticeable at night, but not too disruptive to rest. We were surprised to wake and find a rental camper van parked at our door between our fire pit and picnic table in the morning! The only thing bothersome were the overflowing dumpsters, the copious beacons of light overnight from a monthly resident's site and the unbelievable amount of dog waste (new and old) around the loop. We'd come back to see more of the caverns when the bats are flying and be happy to stay at White's again, even if we were backed in along the road.

Didn't stay, just came for water. They charged me more than anywhere I've seen so far in four states.
It might be a nice park, but try to fill your water elsewhere.

However it is a very pleasant situation and not too noisy etc. The sites are very close together, but they're flat and hard gravel. They are back-in only. They are on the side road to the park, and there's tons of room to maneuver big rigs. Check in process was very nice as the people are super-friendly. Cell service (Verizon) is awesome. Pleasant surprise was that the WiFi worked well enough for us to stream TV last night too.

I arrived without a reservation, in the dark and after office hours, and the sign directs you to the hotel across the street to check in. The gal at the counter was friendly enough, but she wasn't well trained on booking the RV sites. After getting my site booked, she showed me a crude map but admitted she want really sure where the site was.
The sites are not well marked, and another camper pointed me to my site. As another reviewer stated, the power lines are fairly low and cross the sites, such that I don't know if I could have raised the camper high enough to take it off the truck without hitting the lines.
The other issue I had was there is a metal canopy over picnic tables between sites on one side, and the power and water on the other side. The canopy is a great idea, but it made the clearance with the slide-out very tight.
One word of warning that's not the fault of the campground, but at night it was bug city! The bats from the caverns need only to visit the campground for an easy meal. I mention the bugs because many got into our camper, being attracted to the lights when I opened and closed the door, even if done quickly.

Safe! Close to park - HOT shower - would have given 5 stars but heard some street noise and a random banging noise which might be drilling? Not sure - but mildly annoying - tried the Walmart in the city - but WAY to sketch - so paid 22 for dry camping and safety!

As close as you can get to Carlsbad Caverns. Not much going on other than that and everything closes up around 7 PM. There’s a nice playground on site and the spots on the main drag are very easy to get in and out of. Hosts were friendly otherwise.

You should ignore most of the reviews from before 2018. At that time, a new owner purchased all of White's City, including the RV park, and it's a completely different experience. All of the staff of this family-run business are friendly, helpful, and will go out of their way to ensure that your stay is a good one. The park is well-maintained, clean, and generally pretty quiet. The new owners are also gradually making capital improvements to the RV park, such as a brand-new laundry facility with 10 washers and dryers.
Yes, some of the sites in the "L" and "M" sections are fairly narrow and closely-spaced, because they have a covered picnic table/patio adjacent to each site. But even large rigs can fit in them. If you're concerned about space, try to get one of the sites in the "P" section, which is on the road at the top of the campground. These FHU sites are plenty deep for even the largest rigs, and have enough space between them that you aren't right on top of your neighbor. Don't worry about noise from the road, because there's virtually no traffic on it except during the hours when Carlsbad Caverns National Park is open.
This is not a resort by any means. But what it does have going for it is location: 12 minutes to the Visitor's Center at Carlsbad Caverns NP, 30 minutes to Guadalupe Mountains National Park. And with most of the RV parks in the town of Carlsbad continuously full with oilfield workers, you can usually get a spot at White's City.
In short, don't hesitate to stay at White's City RV Park if you're visiting either of these great national parks. We were here for a week-long rally (the rate reflects a weekly and rally discount), and we'll be back for the same event next year.
