The brochure says the water PSI is 60. It is was 70. The whole campground has an unkept vibe to it. We booked ahead and paid $308 for 3 nights, WAY more than we normally pay, but the campground is right across the street from the Mickelson trail. I did a load on laundry and saw that after hours campers can self pay and pay $65 per night. How is that right? I will not stay here again and would not recommend this campground.

This campground was recommended by locals as better than the Days of 76 at the north end of Deadwood, however I disagree. This CG has seen the rougher side of a Sturgis Bike Week and is in need of significant maintenance. If it’s hot, this “gulch” would be good because there is shade in the morning and evening making it much cooler. There is decent grass about 12’ wide between spots depending on the site… but foul if the adjacent site dump tube is leaking. Sites are gravel and everything is far from level. Only a fraction of the showers, toilets, and washers were functional. Desk clerk told us to use the after hours check in even though the lobby area was supposed to be open for two more hours. He misquoted the price and someone called the next day to collect another $5. Ridiculous. We cut our stay short and went boondocking in the hills above Deadwood.

We stayed here for 3 nights 4 days. Our family had a great time. They loved the pool the most. It was clean and maintained nightly. It’s close to town, so it was extremely convenient. Large sites that fit our 28ft trailer, truck and our side by side. They gave us a great site overlooking the pool. Would definitely stay here again.

When you first pull in it’s a little intimidating as the RV park goes up a hillside. But, even my 41’ 5th wheel was able to pull in and out of our space fairly easily. While the sites are a little bit close to each other, everyone kept the noise to a minimum with no one blasting music at night. The only issue we had was with the laundry room. The A/C didn’t work and there was a sign posted saying to keep the door closed. They have large flying bugs drawn to the light at night!
In spite of the laundry room, Mother Nature put on an amazing light show (thunder, lightning, rain) almost every night we were there (👍👍). The staff were some of the most helpful people we have ever met.
So, overall, would we go back again? Anytime we are in that part of the country!

Love Saloon 10 the best Ribeye steak, melts in your mouth. I would make a reservation they stay busy. The shoot out in the street is fun to watch. Sturgis is about 20 minutes away neat town. Close to the campground is the graveyard where Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickok are buried we went there and looked at the graves. Neat old grave yard.
There is a pool in the campground which was so nice to take a dip at the end of the day. The owners were so nice we got to talk with them at the pool one day.

Set in a gulch in the hills, don't expect sites to be level without some work. Hookups were fine (water PSI is > 60 they say) and sites were gravel and grass. Check-in was fine though clarify if reservation was made by phone or online. Good Sam got me $5 back. Class C area (sites 104-115) was above the main area away from the big rig sites. The tenting area way up the the hill is lovely - great views. Also hidden up there is a historical landmark (abandoned mine) with interpretive signs. WiFi was better than most but still intermittent. The Mickelson trail is right across the street!

The cabin was clean, however the bathrooms were not. The bathroom for the cabins had a plugged toilet somewhere between 2 and 6 am. We were promised a handicap shower, however when we went looking for it, it was a storeroom with non-working plumbing. We were given our money back because we were to be staying 2 nights

There’s a trolley that will take you into town for a $1 each way... my site was up on the hill overlooking the pool, easy access for my 40’ Bus, however the turn around was too short to uturn without unhooking my towed... the WiFi was good and the Verizon signal was strong...
