Arrived on a cold, snowy day, November 13, 2022. parking lot had been cleared, snow pushed into rows. Lots of room for parking far away from store. Cleared with the store to stay overnight. Had supper across the road at McDonald’s, other fast foods close by, but Omak does a terrible job of cleaning sidewalks, extremely hazardous, so we... more
Arrived on a cold, snowy day, November 13, 2022. parking lot had been cleared, snow pushed into rows. Lots of room for parking far away from store. Cleared with the store to stay overnight. Had supper across the road at McDonald’s, other fast foods close by, but Omak does a terrible job of cleaning sidewalks, extremely hazardous, so we didn’t go far.

Large parking lot, plenty of space for any size rig. Near a busy intersection, but noise level was low.

This Walmart has easy access from the main highway, and plenty of room for lots of larger RVs. Its situated next to a busy intersection on a hill, so expect some road noise, more so from revving cars then semis. The area has lots of grassy sections to walk your dog, and they keep it mowed nicely so its easy to pick up their poop. T... more
This Walmart has easy access from the main highway, and plenty of room for lots of larger RVs. Its situated next to a busy intersection on a hill, so expect some road noise, more so from revving cars then semis. The area has lots of grassy sections to walk your dog, and they keep it mowed nicely so its easy to pick up their poop. The inside of the store is nice, and has wider isles then some other Walmarts I've been in. All the RVs that were in the lot for the night pulled out in the morning to go on their way, showing that people weren't living there like they do in some Walmart parking lots. There were some people that seemed to be living in their cars however, yet the seem to stay in the southern area of the parking lot. Hopefully the management will keep allowing RVs, and RVs will keep respecting Walmart for it.

The Omak Walmart is a friendly place inside and out. The parking lot provides a safe and convenient place to boondock. The far parking lot is usually occupied exclusively by RV's and semi's. The Omak Walmart is a friendly place inside and out. The parking lot provides a safe and convenient place to boondock. The far parking lot is usually occupied exclusively by RV's and semi's. There's usually plenty of room for everyone. There's a grassy area for pets. The only drawback to the parking area is the proximity to US Route 97 and a busy intersection. Expect jake brakes, revving engines, and occasional emergency vehicles all night long.
