I was returning home from southern AZ and was looking for a convenient relatively quiet place to spend the night. This place is surely convenient. There was ample space for numerous campers, but there was only one other camper there that night and they were several hundred yards away. The highway noise was a bit much early in the evening, but quieted down nicely after about 8pm. I was about 1/4 mile off the road. I could have gotten a little further away from the highway, but I don't think that would have made much difference with the noise. There had been decent rain recently throughout the region, but the site was firm and not muddy. There was some trash in the area, but overall it was pretty clean. I have an 18' travel trailer, but any size rig could use this area. Parker is nearby for amenities. This place was definitely preferable to the zoo that was Quartzite that I had passed through an hour or so earlier.

The beautiful wide-open area is suitable for any size rig. Hard packed rocky ground, so no worries getting stuck in sand or mud. High winds on possible, but dust is not an issue. Great hiking all-around with nearby Wal-Mart and other stores in Parker AZ for supplies. If you miss the first turn off CA-62, don't panic, there is another turn just 100 or so yards down the road. Both roads merge into the main hard-packed road into the camping area.

Nice secluded BLM land approximately 1/2 mile off of HWY 95 east of the Turtle Mountains. We moved numerous softball sized rocks on the access road to make easier access with our motorhome and picked up several large nails . The area is know for rockhounding. Chalcedony is very easy to find here. There is a small service station at Vidal Junction just to the south and if you continue south for 10 more miles Wyatt Earp's home is on the main street next to the RR tracks in the town of Vidal.
