This was a great choice, since there is very little to do nearby, but enough for a bit of exploring, plus lots of big-box stores within a very short drive and some fabulous dining (try Nana’s, Teddy’s BBQ, Le Plebe, and Delia’s Tamales!).
Paved sites are fairly level, with grass on either side, and sites are quite spacious. The campground is clean (although recycling bins fill to overflowing quickly), and the front office staff is welcoming and helpful.
Water pressure is good, Starlink had some dropouts here and there. Electricity went out 3 times during our stay, and seems to be a now-and-then thing. It got VERY windy during our stay (45mp gusts), which we’ve heard is somewhat common for the area.
Loads of activities in the resort, well attended by residents. A Friday “farmers market” brings in wonderful produce from a man and his wife, out of their truck. (Very popular, and for good reason!)
Overall, a very good choice. There is a train that goes by once a day (not every day), and occasionally at night, which is very loud since the tracks are right behind the campground. It was never bothersome, and even the nighttime train wasn’t late at night. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful sites are spacious with nice slabs. Did hear faint train a few times during week but only heard during the day. Only downside is the “TT sites” are wayyy at the back of the property. But nice that all the sites in our area were all mobile RVs - no permanent residents in that section. Perm resIdents were lovely - but nice to meet other travelers.

This park is really quite nice for retired folks. The park is quiet, and well maintained, but despite being right next to the freeway, the cell connectivity for both AT&T and Verizon is unbearable. The most we can see is 2 bars, but this barely allows for anything more than a phone call. The latency is horrific! After realizing we were having issues, we paid a $50 deposit for a cable modem, but the level of service purchased by the park from Spectrum is no better than using what little cellular service is available. Not sure how the folks that live full time here can function. I don't know what is going on, but since we work full-time from the road, I would not recommend this area unless you are retired or on vacation.

After a bit of a snafu at one of the other big Encore parks in the area, we were welcomed with open arms to Victoria Palms. I can't say enough about the wonderful staff and this beauty of a park. Its huge! The majority of the park is occupied by long term residents with landscaped sites and a main road to the clubhouse that kind of reminded me of the entry road to the Breakers in Palm Beach. The paved site we were given was spacious and easy to set up for the week. They have a 24 hour manned entrance. We were there visiting friends so didn't get to enjoy the amenities offered, which were many. Located in the middle of everything The Valley has to offer the winter crowd, we really enjoyed the area. Even got to visit the dentist in Nuevo Progreso on a trip over the border. Big thumbs up to the folks at Victoria Falls. Thanks.

Located in the Rio Grande Valley (RGB), we stayed two weeks at the Victoria Palms RV Resort in Donna, Texas. Victoria Palms RV Resort is a first-class snowbird destination, an Encore Resort, and is included with the Trails Collection available to members of Thousand Trails. Verizon cellular service clocked in at 15.9 Mbps download speed and 13.9 Mbps upload speed. AT&T cellular service clocked in at 11.6 Mbps download speed and 2.03 Mbps upload speed. T-Mobile cellular service clocked in at 40.4 Mbps download speed and 6.18 Mbps upload speed. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit at Victoria Palms RV Resort. Recommend the following nearby day trips while visiting the area: Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park and Estero Llano Grande State Park.

Enormous 1000+ site resort with an onsite restaurant and multiple pools. Drove up to the security gate and the gentleman handed us a bag that contained our map and other important materials. Nice contactless check-in! We stayed at back-in concrete pad full hookup site #2257 and it was spacious and comfortable. The electrical post had two 110 volt plug-ins so we were able to use our second air conditioner. Yay! Our only small complaint was that the post was located on the opposite side of the site. Our electrical cord was barely long enough to reach! Sadly the park was only about 10% full due to COVID-19 and the resulting lack of Canadian visitors. In fact we were the only RV in our entire row. Office staff was amazingly kind and helpful. The resort has portable wifi routers available for rent. We paid $100.00 and the speed was blazing fast. This amount was refunded after the router was returned at check-out. What a wonderful experience! My AT&T phone had 2 bars and the hotspot wifi worked ok. The 100 free cable channels were awesome! We paid $50.00 to setup a temporary mailbox and those funds were also refunded at checkout after we returned the key. Victoria restaurant Sunday brunch is quite a deal at only $12.95 per person. Excellent service and the omelet chef is a real character! Recycling bins for aluminum cans, glass, plastic and cardboard were available. Additional onsite amenities include a small fitness center and craft workshop. Laundry rooms were clean and the machines were well maintained. Large main pool with 2 hottubs. Every staff member that we encountered was incredible. Thank you Victoria Palms for a memorable experience!
