I'm on my first van journey accross the country and saw a roadsign on I70 in MO mentioning this place, so I pulled over and did a little research, and reserved a spot (same day). Have camped here several times from 2015 - 2020 in a tent, small camper and large fifth wheel. A very nice place. Sites are reasonably well spaced, but many do not offer much privacy, although a few are fairly private "the outer loop pull thrus). Not a whole lot to do in the area. Marshall, about 10 miles away, has all one would need in terms of shopping and eating.
The setting and serenity of this park are its assets. Would definitely camp here again.

This is a good State Park. Level gravel sites. Low lying area so watch for muddy yards. Picnic table, fire ring available. Several trails for hiking, American Indian Cultural center is good to visit. Big hardwood trees shade the small single loop campground.

I have stayed in a couple of other Missouri State Parks and they were nice, but this park was amazing. Quiet, pretty and well-maintained with water and electric hookups. The camp hosts were the only other people in the place. Nice walk to the bluff overlooking the Missouri River. The only negative was the Native American center located at the gate was only open weekends starting 10/1 and we were there on Tuesday after that. Bummer....
Since we were in such a heavily wooded area I put out my trail camera, but did not get one picture!!! I thought we would at least get a possum or raccoon.
