"Beautiful Wooded Campground "

The grounds themselves are beautiful: wooded with clear paths and a bridge over a creek. This is a family run business and there is a cross prominently displayed on the front sign. Check in was easy with clear directions to the office and what to... Read more

"Small, Quiet, Beautiful "

After driving miles through Nevada, the Ward Mountain Campground was a beautiful, quiet and welcome respite. I pulled into site 1, which is a double size pull through for a single site cost. Check the board at the entrance to verify open sites... Read more

"Breathtaking"

"All About the View"

Great dessert views and hiking trail for free. Very clean pit toilets and nice pads with picnic tables. And then... the stars! The only real drawback is the washboard access road. New Mexico really has some beautiful campsites.

"Beautiful Sites"

Beautiful campground- green and nicely spaced. Water not available at individual sites, but water locations in the park. Electric hookups. Some sites are flatter than others. For 16 bucks a night, with a 14 day stay limit, this place is a bargain.

"Desert Views"

Angel Peak is a very nice camping area, and like many areas in New Mexico, has great amenities. The shade pavilions at this site are great. There are also clean vault toilets, but no hookups. The dirt road into this area can get very "washboard"... Read more
