As soon as the pavement ends it's non-stop deep potholes, rain, ruts, and exposed rock and boulders. I've never seen this road this rough. I pulled my 19-ft travel trailer at less than 5 mph the whole way. Often at idle crawl speed.

This campground is outstanding. It was great for our overnight stay. We registered and paid on line. The campground looks brand new. Early May visit for one night, not everything was ready nor grounds cut & trim. 7 miles off the highway made for a quiet nights sleep. Showers and toilets are okay, nothing to get excited about but good. The owner arrived to answer a question we had instead of calling or texting back (thumbs up). We’d stop again if we needed to.

We have stayed at many Thousand Trails and this is one of the best ones. Staff is really friendly and the area is just breathtaking. We loved the fact that the lodges opened early and closed late giving us plenty of time to use it. We used the paid WIFI which gave us about 5Mbps but at the top of the park, we got decent cell activity.

There are 15 RV sites available behind the hotel. The sites are very well kept and you have access to all of the hotel’s facilities (pool, hot tub, fitness center, and business center).
