Overall Rating
A quiet and serene place. Sites with electricity have views of the bay. Great bird watching. No traffic noise at all. An easy walk to the beach, which is rocky but fun to explore at low tide. Common water spickets have threads for hoses so you can fill your water tank. No dump station, however.

The sites with water views really are lovely. You can sit by your firepit and watch herons fishing and the sunset reflected off the water. It is first come first serve. In our experience, it is crowded on the weekend but empty during the week. People started clearing out on Monday and coming it on Thursday. We came around lunch on a Friday and got the last spot available. A few turned over after we arrived but, by dinner, everything was taken for the whole weekend.
There are water spouts throughout the park. Choose your site carefully and be near one if you can - they don't mind you running a hose to fill your tank. No dump station on site, but there is one in Port Hadlock.

Pleasant campground with nice views of the bay. There are about half a dozen electric-only sites ($25) that back up to the bay. Pleasant campground with nice views of the bay. There are about half a dozen electric-only sites ($25) that back up to the bay. The non-electric sites ($20) are all in the trees, so more than a couple hours of solar gain isn't possible. You can't access the beach from the campground, but Lower Oak Bay Campground is a two-minute drive from the Upper campground.
The electric sites are fairly unlevel in every direction, so bring your blocks! Sites are long enough for probably a 35' trailer. Well maintained pit toilets for tent campers. Nice grassy area in the middle of the campground.
We got 2 mbps download on Verizon, and 16 mbps with a booster 20' off the ground.
Like much of the northern part of the Olympic peninsula, we found cell service very spotty in the surrounding area. We had good luck with our booster at this campground, but in other areas it didn't do us any good. If a good connection is critical, be prepared to seek wifi (which is also a challenge because indoor dining/coffee in Jefferson County is still shut down).

Great find by “winging it”. 2 loops an upper and a lower. Lower is right on the water, both sides of you, can’t get any closer to the water than this. Great find by “winging it”. 2 loops an upper and a lower. Lower is right on the water, both sides of you, can’t get any closer to the water than this. Upper is made up of 2 loops. 1 loop has electric for an additional $5. Some of those sites waterfront too. The other loop does not have electric, but is very nice and lush, in fact we almost moved from our electric site that we already set up in. We should have checked them out before setting up. Sites are further away from each other On that loop as well. A very peaceful campground and well kept. Cost is 20 non electric 25 electric. Sites are big enough for most size rigs dependent on the site.
