FYI… dogs are allowed in the campground, but not at the day use (picnic) area by the lake.

Spots were level and spacious! We got a spot with electric (was hard to tell which were dry vs electric…had to watch for the box otherwise not marked). Pick an open spot and camp host comes to you to pay. Bathrooms were clean! Showers were clean and endless hot water. Lots of families with kids and dogs. Would stay here again!

Ummm, can we talk about how great Canada’s push button showers are again?! The bathhouse is great—hot water, great water pressure and 20-30 seconds of water per push. The USA needs to take notes. Anyways, the campground is in a beautiful aspen forest and it was all in bloom during our stay. The sites are spacious, well maintained and have a good deal of privacy. There’s a hiking trail, little kid pump track and bike trail. The lake front is gorgeous and in the process of getting lots of upgrades. Checking in was also pretty cool (we arrived with no reservation)…just pick an empty site, park and the camp host comes to you to collect payment and deliver firewood if you want it. We really enjoyed this campground! They’re doing it all right ☺️

Wow this is a nice campground! We stayed in mid September, no bugs, beautiful color in the trees, road in excellent shape, huge sites. Any size rig could fit, most sites are gravel back in but there are a few pull throughs. 30 amp electric for us, non electric available too. Good privacy between sites. Good privacy between sites. Free showers (we didn’t use) and vault toilets. Everything very well maintained and clean. Dump station for a fee I believe- didn’t investigate as we dumped for free up the road in New Hazelton visitor center. Threaded water faucets throughout camp, no signs that say you couldn’t fill RV. Absolutely beautiful area- stay here, you won’t be disappointed. Host was very nice, said they were planning to stay open past published closing date (9/15/23) because there was no reason to close.

30 amp and non electrical sites. Ample size, accessible for good-sized rigs, and quite private for almost all sites. A very nice campground: well maintained and excellent staff.

Trees and shrubs everywhere. You have access to lake but no sites on the lake. Great trail around the campground for humans and dogs. Easy access. Picnic tables are large and well maintained. Fire ring with rangers to bring firewood for sale. This remains on of our top campgrounds we experienced on this trip. Highly recommend. Just enough service to text but not calls. Far enough away from the main road that there is no noise at all.

This is a nice park, and when we stayed in this very large complex we were one of the only ones. Once you pick your spot, a ranger or camp host will come around to take payment. We used this as a spot to recoup after a shopping trip to replenish our food supply at the Smithers Safeway, which is not the easiest area to get into and out of with a large rig if its during the daytime. The campground is very nice and taken care of with big spots, and some our backed up to a trail, that runs in the woods along the shore line of the lake. I do not remember how the cell service was for us, just that I wished the provincial parks had reduced rates during the off season like many other places, if they did so I would be willing to stay much longer. We dumped at the New Hazelton Visitor center before arriving, so we did not check out the dump facilities while there.

The sites are big here and well spaced out. They are not on the water, but the beach access is about 200 m from the sites. Take note that dogs are not allowed on the beach. According to the map, there was good cell signal, but there was actually not much in terms of signal everywhere in the park (and it fluctuated a lot). It was too unreliable for us to work. The *sandy* beach is not very exciting and there is lots of long algea in the lake at the bottom.
