Is there enough ATT for remote work? Decent 4G or 5G? No booster.

Right off a paved road, forest road not too rough for a passenger car. Many sun/shaded spots, not all level but workable. Great solar, quiet.

we enjoyed hiking/trail running back further. Really beautiful here!

We did lots of hiking back in on FR 64 on the many off-branches.
The only down side and you have to drive 40-50 miles to get to Taos.
We enjoyed the peace and quiet of this location!

We had a spot at the edge of the trees, so shade in the afternoon. Very quiet, not many people came by and no one was camped within our view. Had decent enough cell reception on AT&T device with antenna to do our remote work. Also had some Verizon with use of our WeBoost Reach and an antenna.
Free site, great location, bonus of a small herd of cows passing through.
If you're a motorcycle rider, U.S. 64 west of this area is a pretty sweet ride.

There are several forest roads in this area; 64G is the one we camped on. Plenty of room for big rigs, access decent when we were there June 2020. Several sites just off Hwy 64, more sites up the road. Road gets narrow and rough after the first 3/4 mile; still passable for vans, teardrops, or small trailers if you go slow. We stayed near the paved Hwy 64. Traffic noise was negligible. Very patchy Verizon signal near the Hwy. Taos about half hour away.

Big Rigs should not go past the Y in the road. We have a 34 ft 5th wheel and pulled to that point fine. The area is being cleaned up so there were piles of dead wood everywhere, but it was a good Place to stop overnight. Our bloodhound loved the freedom.

I scouted this out. The access road is very deeply rutted, and almost impassable to anything but a pickup truck. People have made tracks through the trees around some of the ruts, but you couldn't get anything bigger than a van through those detours. People have made tracks through the trees around some of the ruts, but you couldn't get anything bigger than a van through those detours. It's a pity, because the campsites are very nice, with stone BBQ pits. The only place you could camp with an RV is an open area just inside the gate, where the previous reviewer camped, but it's right next to an ugly old structure.

There was some trash left from past campers -- mostly bottle caps and plastic forks, but clean otherwise. In the 5 days we were there, I think we saw 2 or 3 cars. Very nice to walk through the forest and even to hike to the nearby climbing area to the East.
No AT&T coverage. Veirzon got 1-2 bars of 3G w/ 2-3 with a booster.
