“A nice place with lots of trees!”

Overall Rating

We had never been to Cross Timbers State Park so decided to go. There had been a lot of rain and flooding so some of the hiking trails were under water. We wanted to hike the Ancient Trees Trail but it was muddy. This was mid October, 2018 so it was getting cooler and fall colors showing. Hardly anyone was there, we had a nice level site, sites are not too close together. We had electric and water but could have also had sewer but just went to dump station at entrance on our way out. There are so many campsites at Cross Timbers. It feels like an old State Park, lots of trees and shade. No cell service in our RV but could send emails by walking up to driveway. We enjoyed this Park and will go back for sure.

We did indeed go back and stayed a few nights and walked the Ancient Trees Trail and others. Nice place.
