Anyway apparently this place used to be a very nice, thriving RV park but my stay was alone, on top of a dark hill with no other people close by. I do appreciate the quiet but as a single female traveling alone I was a bit unnerved. If I didn’t have my big dog I would have probably left but it was fine and the proprietor was very kind and helpful.

We needed a convenient place to stop as we were heading out west. When I called to make a reservation I was told to call two days before our arrival and to be ready to pay with cash or check as they do not take credit cards. Since campgrounds have become more crowded, I was a little nervous waiting for the last minute but everything worked out fine. Junior, the owner, met us at the entrance and we followed him to our spot. He made sure we had everything we needed to hookup and then took the time to show us the bath house. This is the cutest building which he built from wood harvested on his property. It includes the basics; toilet, sink, and a very small shower. Plus washer and dryer ($2.00 each) and a table and two chairs.
The campsite included full hookups and a bench but no picnic table or fire ring.
We will stop here again.

We arrived early evening, after a long day of driving, without reservations. Even though there were no signs that it was open, the owner was very nice; showed us to a full hookup right away. He shared that we were the only ones there because he was just reopening after a 7 mo. hiatus. His wife had been very sick and had passed away. We were very sorry to hear that. He had us fill out paperwork with the campground rules, etc. and explained everything we needed to know while there. Very nice talking with him! We settled in easily. It was very quiet and peaceful. Within an hour, a big, beautiful 5th wheel pulled in. So, he is definitely back in business, and we spent a wonderful evening there relaxing!

You are met by the owner, Junior, who escorts you to your site. At first glance you think it’s very primitive, however, the sites are level and has full hookups. Junior is very helpful. There is 1 bathhouse on site, which is spotless with a washer and dryer. Good place to rest and relax in nature.

Close enough to I 22 (less than 10 min drive) to make driving a bit off the main drag worth it for the peace and quiet. I gave it 4 star for site quality because the driveway and pads are not paved. This did not bother us but might others. The woods, deer and quiet made our stay very restful. We would stop again.

Independence Day 2021. Heading to MS but needed a stop-over. Lovely rustic place. Full hookups. Junior is a great guy, but not in favor of long stop overs. A night or two is good. Any longer and you’re overstaying your welcome.
