“Small, remote and “quiet” If you like creek noise”

We stopped here to check it out on our way back to a Tonasket. The sites are small, less than 30 feet, but fairly level. There is a vault toilet, tables and new fire rings. The biggest draw back is the road coming in is very steep. It is paved with lots of potholes, however very little traffic. There is not as good of access to the creek as North Fork Nine Mile about 3 miles further up the bad road. When we passed through only 2 of the six sites were occupied. The creek noise drowns out everything else.

“Rushing River Sounds”

Toats Coulee is a small, beautiful, isolated campground with the comforting sounds of a rushing river.

The only reason I give it 4 rather than 5 stars is because we couldn't get our 27 foot Airstream level from front to back and my only other requirement for 5 stars would be cell service. So in theory I could knock it down another star for the 2 flaws, but it was truly beautiful and I love the river noise.

We have to leave every two weeks in order to dump our black tank, so we figure, since we’re going through the effort to put things away and hitch up, we might as well make an overnight or two...
