This is a small campground in the forest along the St Joe River, 11 sites with table and fire ring. Sites are well spaced and screened from each other by vegetation. We stayed at Tin Can en route to Whitefish, MT. A small camp ground off of the side of the road. Despite its proximity to the road, it was very quiet. Short walk to a beautiful, clean river. It’s a hidden gem, especially for those who love to fly fish. No hookups, no service, no problem- a place to be in nature. Would absolutely return.
EasyThereAgnes would stay here again

We tent-camped here in July of 2015. It was a great little campground. No host, just a Ranger checking on us every day or two. We tent-camped here in July of 2015. It was a great little campground. No host, just a Ranger checking on us every day or two. Vault toilets were a bit 'rustic', as in smelly, otherwise it was a very nice campground. It was right on the St. Joe river which had great fly fishing upstream or down. There was a fire ban at the time so looking for firewood was not an issue. Our tent site was level, clean, had a table and fire ring. There were open camp sites the week we stayed there. We'd stay there again.
