There is a little road noise, but wasn’t too bad. Staff is very friendly and would definitely stay here again. Full hook-ups with nice level concrete pads. Decent sized spots with paved roads.

I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in site #N127, a FHU, BI site for $40/night. The roads were asphalt and the sites were concrete. This is a large county campground. The roads were easy to navigate. Some sections were shady, but this site is in a sunny, open space. This section was where they put people who are staying a short time versus the longer term rental areas. It is a nice wide site with a picnic table but no firepit. There are several bathhouses in the CG, 2 were in sad shape needing some repairs and more regular cleaning. The one near the pool was pretty nice. This site is located right on the entrance road to the park so there is a lot of traffic flowing by it. Combined with the major street by the park it makes for a lot of street noise. I had 4 bars LTE with Verizon, no wifi and several OTA channels. It is fairly close to the Natchez Trace and there is a Kroger less than ½ mile away. I would stay here again.

We enjoyed our time here. We had great cell service and it was very quiet, even on the weekend. Bathroom and showers were decent and so was the laundry room. We loved the proximity to coffee shops, childrens museum, grocery store, etc.

Bathrooms in first come area are in bad shape. In pool area much nicer but a walk. No alcohol permitted. Lots of rules. Nice setting. Seems to be in a bit of transition. No WIFI. No refunds. Tough traffic at rush hours.

Overnight stop on way to SD. Would easily spend a week here. Easy access to lake and water sports. Very clean facility. Be careful of route if using Google maps and coming from the south. Best route is I-55 to Natchez Parkway east to Old Canton Rd South to Lake Harbor East across Spiilway to Norhshore Parkway.

This is a great park right on the Ross R Barnett reservoir. It appears to be half "monthly rentals" and half daily but everything is well kept. This is a great park right on the Ross R Barnett reservoir. It appears to be half "monthly rentals" and half daily but everything is well kept. There is a laundry room that has 10 washers and 4 dryers, more dryers would have been nice but a load cost $1.00 each. $1 for the wash and $1 for the dry. There is a Krogers right across the street and most anything else you might need is not very far away. There was plenty of space in between sites in the area closest to the entrance where they tend to put the more transient people. Sites were a little closer together the closer you get to the water sites. Everything but the pool was open when we were there. I know someone else mentioned that this was first come first serve but we didn't run into that. We called and had no problem reserving a site. It was booked several weeks in advance, maybe that was the difference.
This was intended as a stopping-off spot for us but we were very pleasantly surprised by the park and would definitely stay here again.

We were traveling between destinations, just needed a site for the night, and wouldn't be arriving until after 8pm so this made me nervous. I asked the person on the phone and she said guessed they'd had about 5 sites available.
When we arrived, we drove around quite a bit looking for a site. The way the one-way traffic pattern is designed you keep going in loops. Many of the sites are monthly rentals and those sites are clearly distinguished from the nightly rentals by use of the code MR and NR in the site number. We were just about to give up when we finally found an open site.
There are also some premium sites that do accept reservations, at a higher cost. I am not sure why this was not mentioned to us when we called. Perhaps they were all filled.
The site was near the edge of the campground, with a road nearby so there was constant road noise, but we left the fan on in our RV and where able to sleep.
The concrete pads are pretty level. The grounds are well maintained and the RVs at the site all appear to be in good condition, making for a pleasant atmosphere.
I wish there was a map at the check-in location to give some clue as to where the open sites were. This would have made for a more pleasant arrival.
