This is a typical national park campground with many campsites packed close together, so be prepared to have to listen to your neighbors conversations. Overall, the campground is clean and maintained well. If you stay in loop D, expect a bit of a walk to get to the restrooms.

Good campground 30’ limit for RV’s there’s a couple big enough. The host do there job. I needed a 8th night and they told me to leave “do we need to call the police “ so out I went. I’m done with Rocky Mountain National Park the traffic is a nightmare. Nobody adheres to the no stopping in the road laws. The bicycle rider’s are often in the road the roads are narrow to begin with. So it a nice place but one visit is enough for me.

Beautiful park!! High elevation makes it hard to breathe but scenery is breathless!! Campground was nice. No shade. Basic amenities, paved, picnic table, fire ring. We had a red fox visit the camp 2x!!!! Located on west side of park. We had an excellent stay and would stay there again

This is a nice campground with plenty of spaces. It wasn't full at all when we got here and people left the next day as well which made it easy to pick a good spot. They have nice restrooms with no showers. You can take a shower at a motel nearby by obtaining a pass from the campground, but we did not do that. Pretty much all day, there were anywhere from 8-15 elk just wandering around the capground. It was really freaky, but they seemed pretty nice. They would get within a few feet of people, cars, and tents without batting an eye. It was definitely a neat experience!

This campground has lost almost all of its trees to the pine beetle. So, be aware, it is little more than a wide open field.
This site is awesome though, looking out onto a field by the river. Very pleasant. We waited somewhat patiently as the previous tenant vacated, and were rewarded with a pleasant place in the Rockies.

Be prepare for twice-a-day parades of huge herds of Elk.
