Although the weather was less than great, the campsite was good. Fire ring, grill and picnic table. Potable water and trash available. We did one of the first come first serve sites. There were others that were reservation sites. Drove to the Tie Hack reservoir about 1+ down an adjacent road and also did Crazy Woman Canyon. Gorgeous. ... more

Campground was clean and so we’re restrooms. Firewood was available for purchase. Camp host gave us great recommendations for the area.
The road from Buffalo is steep (up and down) and there’s a RV dump and potable water fill just past Powder River Pass (9666 ft). Road down to Tensleep is all downhill but drive is amazing. Used senior pass for half price camping fee

This was an awesome campground. One of our favorites actually. So peaceful. The tress give such good coverage and the sites are so well planned. The lake is awesome. We didn’t get to kayak due to weather but would have otherwise. This place is a gem and the host is so helpful. Senior park pass cut our fee in half. Absolutely no Verizon... more

We stayed at Tie Hack Campground in late June with cool weather and beautiful wild flowers covering the landscape. The nightly rate is $18.00, we paid paid $9.00 per night with our Senior Pass. The campsites are well spaced with plenty of privacy, picnic table, firering, and grill, vault toilets, water, and trash recepticles are also available. The camp host, Peg, is very friendly, helpful, and she sells firewood. There is also a nearby reservoir with a picnic area and vault toilet. Overall a very wonderful camping experience!

Camp Host, Peggy, was so helpful. We needed another site for our relatives and an extra night for
Ourselves and she made it happen. Restrooms are immaculate and the campground fits larger trailers (back in). Peaceful and relaxing. No cell
Or TV, but who cares!!
