This was our second visit to Three Rivers State Park. Our first time was in August of 2018 and much has changed since then due to Hurricane Michael that landed in Mexico City Beach the following October and traveled up through here and reportedly destroyed 85% of the forest. The park is still a beauty and we will return again one day, but we are just here for an overnight stay on the first leg of another epic trip back out west.
The price for Florida residents who happen to be senior citizens is $23.58 for one night. We had water and electricity, three bars of ATT, and our site 11 overlooked the water and sat next to a fishing pier. Because of the Central time change we arrived a bit early but the nice ranger let us go to our site. Check-in is between 4:00 and 4:30 PM at the registration office across from our site. The park is kept quite clean. The showers and restrooms weren’t needed for this stay but the building looked good and maintained.
We wanted to take a short hike before sundown on the Lakeview Trail West but all the recent rains made us change our minds. Mosquitoes. The trail loops around to the Ridge Trail and returns back to camp. It is a nice trail and one we took our now-deceased dog Bob on the first time we were here. The truth is, everything changes.

We stayed in January, during a hard freeze across the country. Hosts and rangers were very attentive and didn't let anyone's pipes freeze. Extremely clean bathroom and showers were private (heated). No laundry on site, but a utility sink for washing dishes on the back of the bathhouse. Lots of trails good for easy mountain biking and hiking. Saw deer, armadillos and millions of migratory birds. Lots of hunters use this camp as home base for Lake Seminole hunting. Gravel level sites.

Stayed on a lake site with water and electric hookups. Gravel site relatively level. Sites are about 10 ft apart but the other campers were respectful. Nice clean modern restrooms with showers. Camp hosts were very attentive. Hiking and biking trails and kayak / canoe put ins along with a boat ramp.

This was a "cool-down" spot for us at the end of a two month road trip and before a three day dash home. We could not have picked a better location. The sound of an occasional fishing boat and a few raucous crows are the only things to disturb the peace and quiet. A number of walking trails offer even more solitude, and a chance to see wildlife and the forest's effort to recover from 2018 Hurricane Michael. Not into walking? Waterfowl and alligators can be observed from the fishing pier.

We stayed in site 27 and had plenty of room for a 27 ft trailer and pick up truck. Good 5g reception on ATT.

The park is small, quiet, well hidden, peaceful, and, overall, a great option. As many have mentioned, the access road is in rough condition, but was under construction during our visit (05/23) and should be improved shortly. Each site has a fire ring, picnic table, and clothesline. We stayed in site #2 and it was level, had some trees for shade, and privacy from other sites. There are sites along the water with better views, but the sites on the outside edges offer more privacy and are more quiet. There are kayaks and canoes for rent and plenty of birds, fish, and alligators in the lake. There are also several easy hiking trails in the park. The Woodruff Dam, what creates Lake Seminole, is a cool nearby sight to see and is the beginning of the Apalachicola River. I would certainly stay here again and recommend this campground to fellow campers.

The staff was great. There are a couple other state parks in the area of this park which I would choose to go back to before this one. There wasn't much for walking trails. There was only a 1 hour time frame when you could register with the staff.

We came here planning to stay 4 nights. However, as we pulled into the park the transmission in our van failed. The camp hosts were very sympathetic and helped us extending our stay and finding transportation while we had the van repaired! Thank you!
The trails are wide and mowed. The forest was devastated by Michael and is slowly coming back.
Lots of great bird watching opportunities.

Small state park with reasonably separated level sites on the waters os Lake Seminole. Little shady sites but always a tree to sit under. Fishing is good. Pier to watch the alligators. Road into park has not been repaired since hurricane (which also took out trees) which makes going slow.

The 'town' of Sneads is actually sort of scary! The only worse Florida state park campground is Goldhead....at least in our humble opinion!
