I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in site #45, an E/W BI site for $11/night with a Senior Pass. The roads/sites are asphalt with concrete pads in many cases. It is a hilly park with narrow roads. I got around okay by taking it slow. I had no issue backing in since they kept the site entrance wide and free of obstructions. While most sites have some slope, they worked on getting the location for parking your trailer flat. This was one of the most level spots I have had. They also built up the site so that you have a large, flat area for the picnic table and fire pit. I could easily have pitched a tent in the space and still had room for chairs. It is hard to gauge how much shade there will be in the summer since there were no leaves on the trees, but it looks like there would be some shade available. The sites are very spacious with lots of foliage in between. The bathhouse is nice and clean, but is a pretty good distance from the upper loop. There is a vault toilet in the upper loop if you need it. Lots of extra threaded water spigots are around the CG for the tent sites which are interspersed with RV sites in places. The tent sites have the best views of the lake as most of them are very close to the water. Only a handful of the RV sites in the lower loop have a good view 23 & 24 are the best, but are FCFS sites.) Sites 49 & 50 look super easy to get into and have a lovely, private layout. It was very quiet in the park (although very early in the season.) I had 2 bars LTE with Verizon, 3 OTA channels, no wifi. This campground is quite a distance from the main area of the park where there are trails for hiking. That’s the only downside for me. I would stay here again if I was coming through this way, but I don't think I would actively seek it out to return.

Great place to send 5 nIghts of an 8 month road trip. Clean, quiet and spacious. Great off road walking and hiking trails, nothing too difficult. The town of Sulphur is just a few miles away.

The woods were full of folks who all seemed to be fishermen. A bit of a haul down a paved road to get there, but our spot had good privacy even though it was across the road from the bathhouse/RR. $11 reflects our federal pass discount.

We did the 2 tenths mile walk to the regular restrooms which were nice & clean. There were also showers but we didnt use. The vault toilets were closer and we didnt use them.
The site was level & the back of the trailer faced somewhat east to get a nice sunrise through the trees. The campground is 5 miles from hwy 7

Bob the host introduced himself shortly after we arrived and explained the basics. Park rangers and local police patrolled the campground sporadically throughout the day. It was very clean, sites and facilities included. The town of Sulphur is about 6 miles away with shops, restaurants, and winery. Turner falls is thirty minutes away. All in all a great experience. Will come again.

The sites are large, with picnic tables and fire rings. The sites are heavily wooded and partially secluded from your neighbor. The sites have plenty of room to back in. This is one of the few campgrounds available after October 31st.

We love this campground and campsites. The sites were large (#49 easily 40' by 40') with stone walls built around level camping areas. The Point is on hilly land, and the upper loop where most of the electrical sites are located, is not on the lake side, nor is it near the nice larger restrooms, but in May, in Oklahoma, the fully shaded sites were wonderful. And there were clean, pit toilets next to the sites. I would rate this campground, and sites 49-50 as five stars. The lake was high from heavy spring rains, and some day use tables were under water. The campground was full.
Sulpher is a great little town, with a large casino and hotel. The Platt Historical District was once a separate National Park and is well worth a visit. The swimming holes are unique and fabulous.

Stayed in The Point Campground - Upper Loop Thanksgiving 2018. First timers, and it's one of our favorite places. Upper Camp Area contains the only reserveable sites in this area. The other sites are first-come-first-served using a pay station. Most of the sites make you feel fairly secluded. There are plenty of trees and you’re generally not stacked on each other like a lot of places. Pay attention when you make your reservation, because hookup ability is site-by-site. Some sites have water / electricity hookups but others do not. The camping area is 6 miles from the Highway 7 intersection between Davis and Sulphur, OK. There’s a Walmart / McDonalds at that intersection. This is 8-10 miles away from the Lincoln Bridge (built 1909), various springs (e.g. Buffalo Springs and Antelope Springs), waterfalls (e.g. Little Niagara), swimming holes, and other campsites in Sulphur. This is almost 20 miles away from Turner Falls. When we went, there were only four cars in the parking lot of Turner Falls and only about 10 campers in the Upper Loop. We had the run of the area.
