About 4 miles off the highway this is a nice quiet spot to spend a night. For $40 you get full hook ups! 50 or 30 Amp power, water and Sewer at all 4 of the campsites. Nice owner came over to see us, say hello, and give us some tips on the area.

So $40 gets you 1 of 4 spots that have been set up along the road. They are real full hookups but That’s it. Sites are grass and mostly flat. No wifi, no other amenities of any sort.
But it’s quiet and it had a spot so it met me needs on the road.
Note you need cash or check. No CCs as you pay in a drop box. There’s no office.

Quiet and peaceful. No signs so watch for it on the left. Our GPS had us looking to the right and we passed it.

Host was very kind! Let us arrive late on Easter evening while he was out of town! Texted and checked that we arrived okay! Only one other RV with us! Easy pull through and hookup sites! Located on beautiful farm land with nothing but windmills in sight! Would absolutely stay here again!

Great little out-in-the-middle-of-nowhere place. Used to have an old two story house on the property with the front porch still visible, although the house is gone. Super nice owner and we had the place all to ourselves. Only 4 spots on a FM road outside of Groom, Texas. With there only being 4 spots, you have a better than average chance of being all alone. Full hookups with no issues and easy to level since you are in the grass. Lots of trees that the owner planted himself. Dragon flies everywhere, but being no nuisance to the traveler. Will stay here again on my way to New Mexico.

Groom is a very tiny town about 1 hour outside of Amarillo. The park was quiet, rural, and VERY relaxing. Sites are level. No wifi but great Verizon and AT&T reception. Close to interstate, but far enough away to be very quiet (maybe 10 cars drove by in a 24 hour period?). Had the place to ourselves most of the time with the exception ... more

Close to interstate, but far enough away to be very quiet (maybe 10 cars drove by in a 24 hour period?). Had the place to ourselves most of the time with the exception of birds, cows, and bunnies. No laundry, and could not find a laundry mat in town.

Enjoyed our 2 night stay here in April 2021.
Four full hookup grassy sites on private property 4.5 miles off Hwy 40. Immediately adjacent to FM 295, a fairly low use rural 2 lane road with a 70 mph speed limit. Surrounded by windmill farms. Road noise didn't bother us, but I wouldn't allow children or off-leash dogs to roam due to the occasional car speeding by.
Occupancy was at 75% our 1st night (2 others besides us), 2nd night we had the place to ourselves and enjoyed watching storms off in the distance while swinging on the tree swing.
As others have mentioned, owner Clifton was great, good communication re: directions, arrival instructions, etc. At his recommendation we visited "the cross," a can't-miss landmark right off Hwy 40. Beautiful grounds with a 19-story steel cross, life-sized bronze sculptures of Jesus' journey to the cross, fountain, replica of the tomb, gift shop, restrooms, and more.
Clifton takes cash or check only.
Will definitely return again when passing through the area.

Nice spot with full hook ups on our way back to Houston! Mr. Clifton met us here at the site to make sure we were settled in. The park was easy to find, marked with an American flag featuring an eagle. The wife and I enjoyed a steak dinner and wine under the star filled sky listening to the wind blow through the trees. Woke up in the morning and ran along the various cow trails and admired the wind mills before heading back on the road. This is a must stay!! We will be back again and will definitely stay longer!!
Thank you Mr. Clifton for your hospitality.

Nothing fancy but convenient stop along I-40. Open farm land around it with windmills. I kept thinking a plane was passing overhead during the night but it was the sound of a nearby windmill. The site was nice and level and easy to get in and out.
