This stop in Montgomery was a last minute find since we were needing to stop to get some repair work done on the trailer. I was able to reserve online, but received a call from the owner soon after telling me that due to some incoming rain the spot I had chosen may be too wet during our stay. He suggested we stay in the 300’s and switched our spot over.
I then asked if we could have some maintenance done while on site since we had some frame issues. He said that would be fine and indeed we had some welding done while staying there. That was a great help.
The concrete pads that are at each site are nice to stay out of the mud, but were poured too high for the steps to rest upon and still close the door to our trailer so we had to back up the rig so that our stairs could land on the ground. With the rain, we ended up still having to climb in and out of the rig in a puddle.
The center pavilion contains a large chess and checkers set that my kids found fun to play with. They have grills and picnic tables and a large shipping container that served as an outdoor patio area.
We did have some electrical issues at our site with the voltage being too high. It was assumed to be because of the wifi antenna nearby. The owner did his best to fix it on the weekend and we plugged into an adjoining site. Turning off the wifi antenna seemed to fix the issue.
With Starlink, we were able to get 49 down and 18 up. Verizon on the phone was at 3 bars (19/1). Verizon with the cell antenna was at 5 bars (22/3) and AT&T was also 5 bars (25/25). The park wifi, when it worked, was giving us (2.2/1.7).

Clean laundry facilities, clear open sky for starlink, clean bathrooms and showers, dog park. Cute areas to sit and relax or play a big Jenga game. We will definitely be back when we come back to the area to explore. Right off the highway and close to gas stations and fast food restaurants. We were checked in fully before we arrived so we just had to show up and pull into our spot.

Passing through the area and needed a place to pull over for a few days. It was a good experience. Convenient location, friendly staff, and it fit was we were looking for. For $50, you can't beat it. They have some neat hang out spaces that we were able to utilize.

Can hear Highway and trains outside but didnt bone inside my RV. A little pricey ($69) versus the amenities offered. Staff was very friendly on the phone when I called to reserve a spot. Excellent coverage from AT&T. Didnt connect to their WiFi. Would stay here again if visiting the area. Might look for cheaper alternative if just passing through. We camped at The Backyard RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Couldn’t get the wifi to connect to mobile devices. The games were nice. The sites are good pull thrus but tend to get swampy. Didn’t have the best customer service. They didn’t want to fill propane and were rude about it. The office doesn’t open til 12 which is when checkout is and we were scolded for checking out late because we were waiting to fill propane and they were late. Strong Verizon and Att.

We stayed one night at Backyard RV (as it is now called). Very nice, clean facilities. Easy in and out. Good sized sites. Close to all the attractions in Montgomery. We had dinner at Vintage Year, a little pricey but excellent food.

Booking was a breeze, staff was very friendly. We didn't use the bathrooms or laundry room but they look very clean and recently updated. Also has a very nice fenced in dog park for off leash play time.
Our AT&T had 5 bars and streamed videos with no problem. Verizon had 4 bars as well.

It’s located nicely for Montgomery activities like the zoo, but it’s not so nice been by a run down motel and an abandoned gas station. Also, a lot of homeless in the area. It does have a nice pavilion to have your kids play in out of the sun. We would stay again if we needed somewhere close to the interstate.
