This was a very nice campground, and we used it to base out of while we did some shopping and Laundry in the nearby town of Quesnal. As an FYI this town didn't have very good Laundromats, and we weren't even willing to do laundry at the first facility that we went to on the "shadier" side of town. Stick with the one on the side of town closer to the campground. The dog park was nice one, and previously a baseball field. We found not just nice dogs, but nice people also. Once you pick a spot in this large campground, that evening the camp host will come around to take payment. You can stay in the lake campground, or stay up in the touring campground for $20/nt., however the sites are not as nice, but we would be willing to stay up there next time. You can also stay there long term in the touring area for $88/week, with a minimum 4 week stay. Recreation opportunities include hiking the trails, fishing, and canoeing in the lake. I was out on a run, and when getting back to our campsite I ran into a Black bear who ran off, as quickly as we met. We didn't have cell service in our spot, but there was cell service in other parts of the campground, so if this is important to you I would suggest checking out different areas as we should of done.
